Deezer fully shares the position expressed by Sir Paul McCartney in his interview with BBC News : https://lnkd.in/ebVuCrgg We believe that respecting creators' rights is an absolute necessity. This is why we have always led and supported, and will continue to do so, all initiatives that ensure fair remuneration for artists, the fight against fraud and the detection of AI-generated creations. AI has the potential to positively influence creation, but it is essential that we preserve the rights of creators in this new context. With this in mind, we have just announced the launch of a cutting-edge AI detection tool for music streaming that will increase transparency for users and safeguard the rights of creators. https://lnkd.in/eaTJihW5 Deezer is also the first, and to date only, music streaming platform to have signed the statement on AI training which states that “The unlicensed use of creative works for training generative AI is a major, unjust threat to the livelihoods of the people behind those works, and must not be permitted”. https://lnkd.in/dREw7M_N At Deezer, we love music and we take care of it. We share this love with our users and the artists who offer their creations on the platform. Like Sir Paul McCartney, we believe that whoever sat down and wrote Yesterday deserves to be paid! #LivetheMusic #AI #Deezer #BBCNews #PaulMcCartney

5dWhat is meant by "generated by artificial intelligence"? It is too vague. Can a song made completely in the studio, analogically, implemented only with a guitar turn made with AI, or with vocal samples / piano turns also made with AI, be identified as "AI-generated songs"? We firstly need to clarify these concepts. By now, also the big international producers themselves are using AI (fortunately) as a supporting tool in the development of creative works. Getting AI to make a guitar turn is not a problem in fact, but a great technological solution.
