Where better than #Vienna to mount a stunning new show of avant-garde art? The splendour of Vienna's imperial past was a dramatic contrast with the cutting-edge exhibits at #Particolare, a collectable exhibition at the city's historic Kursalon, featuring over sixty 20th & 21st Century artworks. This innovative new format, inspired by the art salons of the Belle Epoque, was a great way of bringing contemporary artists, art lovers and art collectors together, in an intimate yet spectacular setting. Where will www.particolare.com go next?

At NorthernLight, our aim in designing contemporary exhibitions about historical topics is to connect the topic to the NOW. Traditional historical exhibitions quite often try to mimic the THEN for the visitors. That is why we recently introduced our vision for the ’The transhistorical space’. This correlates with recent developments in historical studies to link historical events with current and timeless developments, rather than binding them to their epoch only. That leads to a shift from an “As if you were there” to a “there is here” approach for our exhibition design. Several of our recent (and upcoming) projects embody this philosophy. Merging the Digital & Artistic, Digital Transformation | Arts & Cultural heritage, E-Learning, Art Awards across Europe author
The Venice Biennale isn't just an art exhibition - it's a cultural phenomenon! Founded in 1895, it's transformed from a national showcase to a global platform for artistic dialogue. Imagine a world where art transcends borders and ignites conversations. The Biennale has been at the forefront of this artistic evolution, pushing boundaries and showcasing groundbreaking movements. From its early days celebrating Italian art to its current status as a global platform, the Biennale has consistently challenged the status quo. Venice itself becomes a living exhibition during the Biennale. The Giardini gardens, with their permanent pavilions and the central exhibition, are the heart of the event. But thr Biennale's magic extends beyond the Giardini's! National pavilions scattered throughout the city transform historic buildings into vibrant embassies for each country's artistic spirit. Independent exhibitions, known as "collateral events," further enrich the experience, offering a diverse range of artistic expressions. Are you an art enthousiast or simply curious about this unique event? The Venice Biennale offers a transformative experience for everyone. #VeniceBiennale #ArtHistory #ContemporaryArt #CulturalExchange #Travel

The annual report of Asortymentna kimnata 2023 is out and in the first link. 16 exhibitions with over 152 exhibition days featuring works by 114 artists. 4 art books and 3 art residencies. Several transport missions of Ukrainian contemporary art to Europe and 2 exhibitions abroad. One School of Contemporary Art and one tailor made program for the artists affiliated with southern regions of Ukraine as well as for more connections between south in west inside the country. One important remark - in 2023 we were not evacuating any new art pieces, but we taking care for those which are staying in our shelter since 2022. From almost 1000 evacuated pieces we’ve got one third still in our shelter — those are mostly the pieces which do not have a place to come back. In 2023 we’ve also started to restore some of those pieces. Since spring 2023 we do not have external funding for the costs, connected with shelter, security and restoration. This is being financed from the own costs of the organization and/or from some smaller rests of overheads for other programs. We are still understuffed and lacking resources for institutional sustainability. But we are working on it and doing our best with what we have and where we are.

As of today, 107 museums from all parts of #Ukraine are represented on our platform. Russian aggression also means destroying Ukrainian culture and national identity. What is important at this point is planning the #future for Ukrainian #museums, which are one of the elements of Ukraine's reconstruction. Museums are an indispensable part of an open society – not only to preserve the past in all its diversity, but at least as much to reflect present experiences and to prepare the future of our societies. Now, we are bringing over hundred Ukrainian museums‘ experts to a conference in #Berlin on May 28-29. Museums have a #voice! conference organizers: OBMIN, Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz, Ernst von Siemens Kunststiftung, Ukrainian Institute, Polnisches Institut Berlin, European Network Remembrance and Solidarity, @Bundesinstitut für Kultur und Geschichte des östlichen Europa (BKGE) patronage: Auswärtiges Amt (Federal Foreign Office) Germany, Die Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien), @Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, Ministerstwo Spraw Zagranicznych in cooperation with: @Bundesministerium für Wohnen, Stadtentwicklung und Bauwesen, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Fundacja Współpracy Polsko-Niemieckiej, @kultura.agency, Gerda Henkel Stiftung , Open Society Foundations, Ministerstwo Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego Anastasia Bondar Kateryna Rietz-Rakul @Platform Wiederaufbau Ukraine Marius Jedlitschka ALIPH - International alliance for the protection of heritage in conflict areas

Sydney’s Australian Museum’s recent blockbuster exhibition Ramses and the Gold of the Pharaohs - held in our wonderful city between November 2023 to May 2024 - is among the most successful museum exhibitions in NSW history, both in terms of visitors and economic impact, according to a report released recently. Prepared by Inform Economics, the report states that the exhibition attracted more than 508,000 visitors and contributed more than $57 million to the NSW economy. In addition, every $1 spent on delivering the Ramses exhibition returned benefits of more than $11 for the NSW community with a benefit-cost ratio (BCR) for the exhibition investment of 11.2. Kim McKay AO the Australian Museum Director and CEO, who secured the exhibition exclusively for Sydney, said the economic impact report identifies the value of the cultural economy for growth and vitality in NSW. Well done Kim and your team at the Australian Musuem! 🙏👋 Sydney is so lucky to have a vibrant scene of musical, theatrical, visual, literary and other artistic & cultural activities. We have a great opportunity to capitalise and establish the our city as the cultural capital of the nation and the Asia-Pacific region. While individually our great arts venues and cultural institutions provide a wondrous choice for Sydneysiders and tourists, bringing them together into a collaborative and co-operative coalition can create an arts and culture sector that becomes something bigger than the sum of its parts. #sydney #artsandculture #wonderfulcity #exhibtion #ramses #successful #artscapital #culturalcapital #welovesydney

Read an insightful article on the importance of repurposing churches and reintegrating them into society in creative, impactful ways. The repurposing of Hl. Geist Essen and the recent exhibition "Kirchen als Vierte Orte - Perspektiven des Wandels" stand out as inspiring examples of how these spaces can be transformed for modern needs while preserving their cultural significance. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eySJYXSs #HlGeistEssen
