Kemppi's 2023 Carbon Footprint Calculated 🌍 Kemppi’s carbon footprint has been recalculated, providing crucial insights for setting new environmental and emission reduction targets. Completed in summer, the calculation followed the GHG Protocol's scope 1, 2, and 3 standards, covering all relevant emissions across our sites. A big thank you to everyone who contributed! This year, we improved our data methods, refining emission categories and boosting data quality. Looking ahead, we’ll calculate our footprint annually and develop a transition plan in line with ESRS E1 and Paris Agreement. We now provide carbon footprint data for our solid bar products, used in segments like Industrial, Oil and Gas, Chemical and Petrochemical, and Transportation. All the calculations in the LCA model have undergone independent review by the IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute to ensure data accuracy. By offering reliable LCA information, customers and end-users can also calculate their carbon emissions for their final products. Important regulatory update from the U.S.: Last month, Wyoming became the 25th state to adopt legislation ensuring that advanced #recycling facilities are transparently and properly regulated as manufacturing operations. With this, half the country is open to implementing advanced recycling as a complementary solution to address the #plasticwaste problem. https://loom.ly/cwAP3bM At Aduro, we support this development.
