While their wisdom holds value, it may not always align with today's lifestyle. For a healthy pregnancy, a fresh approach is essential, and that's precisely what we're dedicated to providing at the Maternal Health Coach Community. We guide pregnant women through every step, recognizing the significance of collaborative care. At Maternal Health Coach Community, we not only educate expectant mothers but also empower family members with essential knowledge, stressing the involvement of every family member. This period of pregnancy is undoubtedly one of the most challenging for expectant mothers, and collaborative care plays a significant role. Awareness is the key to empathy. Where you live shouldn't impact your ability to have a healthy pregnancy and birth. Did you know…. Maternal suicide is the leading direct cause of death between six weeks and one year after the end of pregnancy, accounting for 18% of the women who died. In2020, women were three times more likely to die by suicide during or up to six weeks after the end of pregnancy compared with 2017-2019. It is a perfect time to check-in with those in your life that are new mums. With the holidays approaching things can get particularly stressful. New mums may find that they are; - stuck inside due to the cold weather - feeling greater expectations from family - worrying about money - feeling a pressure to make the holidays “perfect” for their growing family There’s no need to overcomplicate things…simply check-in and listen. Simply giving someone space to talk, and listening to how they're feeling, can be really helpful in itself. If you find someone is finding it difficult, let them know that you're there when they are ready.

Ensuring the safety of motherhood is crucial in saving newborn lives. Studies indicate that a considerable reduction in stillbirths and neonatal deaths is achievable by providing proper nourishment and quality care to all women throughout pregnancy, delivery, and the postpartum phase. Mothers require continuous and comprehensive care, starting from the early stages of pregnancy until after childbirth + then some. It is essential for them to feel comfortable expressing all their worries, symptoms, and thoughts, and to receive support from nourishment to mental well-being, to everything in between. Babies need their moms, and moms need help. The well-being of babies is closely tied to the circumstances of their mothers.
