Today is a historic day for sustainably designed products in the EU, with the countdown to #ESPR implementation now on⏲️ How can we make this law as effective as possible❓   The ESPR, Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation, aims to make products sustainable by default by improving their environmental performance and transparency. 🙌 This will help push the most polluting goods off the market.   ☂️A lot of products will be brought under the #ecodesign umbrella, including some with the biggest environmental impacts like iron, steel, chemicals, textiles, furniture, tyres, detergents, paints, electronics, and energy-using appliances.   We're approaching a new era of sustainable products🌄 but a lot of the details must still be finalised in secondary legislation and standards. We’ll be there every step of the way🤝   Before the first product requirements start to apply, some important steps will be taken, like:   🟢Establishing the Ecodesign Forum 🟢Adopting the first ESPR working plan   Check out the timeline and path to ESPR success in our position paper ✍️ https://lnkd.in/eV3T6ij7 CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency LIFE Programme BEUC - The European Consumer Organisation ANEC #Ecodesigned4LIFE
