Hi Connections, This time I will tell you about my journey for the Gombak Sejahtera Exhibition as the assignment for Literary Criticism. My group chose the title 'Kampung Life in Gombak and its Modernisation' as we need to do more research based on the title. At first, we seek physical resources which are books, news articles, and research about Gombak. After that, we tried to seek more information online. A lot of information can be discovered through the process. Let me share a few interesting information that we found while completing the task. 1. Infrastructure The Gombak Sejahtera project is to improve the lifestyle of the people in the community and friendly access for everyone. Many facilities were built during the process, for example a Masjid as the place where everyone can gather in a large quantity or for a big event that people can join. 2. Politics There are a few community representatives and agencies that working hard in developing the place and some of them are to prevent any big impact happens to the housings that was caused by the natural disasters such as floods and landslide. 3. Community They held community events as a collaboration between spirit and unity within the community of Gombak. In addition, the residents practice in preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the community. 4. Social There is research from Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat that studied the increasing cases of vandalism in the community, however, the tourism of the place has developed to improve the social level in the venue such as Batu Caves and Gua Damai Extreme Park. From this experience, I discovered the improvement that have been made by people and organisations in developing Gombak to be a friendly access community.

Alin Ușeriu was invited by G4Media.ro to speak in the series "People who inspire Romania" about the journey Via Transilvanica has had from just an idea that might have seemed crazy, to a project that became a country ambassador in just 6 years. If you thought you knew all about #ThePathThatUnites, you will definitely be surprised. Alin talks about how this trail not only represents a paradigm shift for Romanian tourism, but is also the largest social enterprise in the country involving people from completely different backgrounds. From the Tășuleasa Social team, to partners and volunteers along with other communities through which the path passes, plus organizations (civic, sports, environmental, etc.) entrepreneurs and even state authorities. It is the kind of project in which each player has a decisive role which every Romanian should take on. Moreover, beyond the positive impact that Via Transilvanica has on our country, let's not forget that this route has an infinitely greater value for each individual who walks it. It is an initiatory journey like that found in our ancient culture, fairy tales and traditions. With every step you take on the path you have the opportunity to encounter yourself, to experience countless revelations that would not otherwise appear in the chaotic everyday life. Did you know that many businesses want to come to Ülemiste Center, and we receive space requests every week? This is what was discussed on the 10th of April with the Director of Ülemiste Center, Guido Pärnits, when he was invited to take part in the Kuku Radio show Buum. "Buum" is a Radio Show on Estonian radio channel Kuku Radio, that examines and analyzes the economy and security. In this one-hour show, many topics were discussed, ranging from electric cars to how to build your brand. According to Guido, building your brand is essential because it ensures your business's welfare and market suitability. "If you build something big, people want to know what it stands for," says Guido. When discussing the current 20th birthday of Ülemiste Center and what the future holds, Guido mentioned that the demand for more commercial and retail space is still high.
