Schools should be encouraging Pupils to look at Apprenticeships too and not just Higher Level Education or straight into work. Speaking with a few Teachers recently, who said it's something we don't push 'Apprenticeships' enough or make connections with local companies, business's and agents to have options there for School leavers. #Apprenticeship #School #Education

We’re excited by several new funding opportunities in UK apprenticeships for 2024/25, designed to simplify the work of Apprenticeship Providers. Key changes include reducing administrative tasks by eliminating the need for employers to sign off on each progress review. Learning support claims are now less cumbersome, with reviews every three months instead of monthly. As part of this commitment, we are sharing weekly posts about apprenticeships leading up to National Apprenticeship Week 2024 (5-11 Feb). We have been posting informative facts and busting myths, and for the next two weeks our myth buster is targeted at prospective apprentices. Today’s myth is: "I have to pay tuition fees as an apprentice." Reality: Apprenticeships are funded by the government and the employer, so there are no student loans or tuition fees. We are pleased to publish our new report 'Enabling Better Outcomes: A Wider View of Apprenticeship Success’, which looks into what apprenticeship success looks like to employers.   Our research found that 99% of employers recognise the benefits in offering apprenticeships but face challenges in supporting apprentices complete their programmes.   The biggest barrier employers face is being able to provide time off to study, complete assignments, or complete off-the-job training.   We set out a number of recommendations in the report to help support employers support their apprentices, including:   -         More pastoral support for apprentices -         Specific support and training for line managers of apprentices -         Clear guidance from the Department for Education setting out the responsibilities of employers and line managers -         Widening the eligibility for FE Learner Support funding to include young apprentices and those on programmes at or below Level 3   Read more below ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ https://bit.ly/42iwHxD   #skills #skillsforlife #skillsforthefuture #FE #FurtherEducation #apprenticeships

Big changes could be coming to apprenticeships in England, from funding adjustments to shorter, more flexible programmes. 🔹 Funding Changes – Wider option of programme types? Monday Motivation for change Following a recent poll on Apprenticeships, 67% of organizations cited a lack of understanding about funding as the main barrier to enrolment. While this response wasn't surprising, unravelling the complexities around funding doesn't have to be a headache. BIG NEWS about APPRENTICESHIP FUNDING. The government have announced that from 1st April they are raising the age of Fully Funded Apprenticeships to 21. This means that if you take on an Apprentice or Upskill a current employee up to the age of 21, then their Apprenticeship training will be 100% funded. There has never been a better time to take on an apprentice. *16 - 21 years - 100% Funded Apprenticeships. *16 to 18 years - £1000 incentive payment to employers taking on an apprentice. *22 years and above 95% funded apprenticeship.
