Hiring for the holiday sale? 🎁 Consider training your seasonal support staff on transactional inquiries only. Here's why: 👔 They may already have the experience. While product knowledge will differ organization to organization, the processes for solving transactional inquiries are fairly standardized. 📦 Where’s my order, price matches, refunds, and cancellations are some of the highest contact drivers during the holiday season, so by focusing seasonal staff on order inquiries, they'll have a strong impact. 🔎 Dedicating your seasonal team to transactional volume will free up your senior agents for more complex situations. 🧠 Limiting training content to a subset of inquiry types can reduce time to onboard, and increase chances of knowledge retainment.

Everyone told me it wouldn’t work… But four years later, here we are. Hiring to grow the team from 13 to 18. We started from nothing, and now we’re a team of 13 working with over 100 brands each year. I’m looking for a Sales Manager to join Brand Hackers. This isn’t just a job. It’s a chance to help shape our next chapter. You’ll get real autonomy, real ownership, and the opportunity to make a real impact. But let’s be clear. Our roles are like marmite. They’re perfect for you if: • You crave autonomy and love moving fast. • You want to own your work and make things happen. • You’re ready to get stuck in, no hand-holding required. They’re not for you if: • You need constant direction. • You’re not prepared to dive in and do the work. • You want a slow life We’ve also got other roles opening soon, with the same focus on pace and ownership. Tag someone who needs to see this or comment for reach! 🙏🏻

I help small agencies run smoother so they can ✅ scale faster ✅ make more money ✅ have a good time doing it! // President at upGrowth Commerce
Here is what I think about when hiring at upGrowth Commerce : ✅️ I want people on my team with robust yet recent and relevant experience ✅️ I want people on my team that I can learn from ✅️ I want people on my team who will both learn from and teach the rest of my team ✅️ I want people on my team who have opinions that don't always align with my own ✅️ I want people on my team that are masters but also recognize that mastery is a temporary, transient state and quickly expires without the relentless pursuit of growth ✅️ I want people on my team who welcome challenge and discomfort ✅️ I want people on my team who are aware of and secure in their own limitations and weaknesses ✅️ I want people on my team who are not satisfied with 'good enough' for themselves, for the agency, and for their clients ✅️ ...And when they inevitably depart, I want them leaving as a stronger individual than when they joined.

I make print/sign/label/promo sales easier, better, and more fun for people who can’t, won’t, or don’t know how.
I read a job description recently and it almost made me want to apply. Check it out: • Has a reputation for initiating ideas and programs presenting options, not just delivering what is requested; • Has a strong appreciation and regard for the challenges, pressures and stress that continually surround an organization; • Is politically sensitive and savvy but not political; • Has a high level of curiosity. I am constantly asked about hiring a sales rep. Most of the questions have to do with where to look. This post addresses a different topic: What to look for. From the outside, does your company look like a place great people would want to work?
