Dave Brost, PE and Brett Adlard, CFA, cofounders of qilo, see themselves as kind of "data scientists in a box." For utilities who don’t have the resources internally to crunch data, the startup company provides insight into how electrification is impacting the grid and what kind of programs utilities might offer to nudge consumer behavior. Their current pilot with Vermont Electric Cooperative, which resulted from the DeltaClimeVT Business Accelerator Energy 2022 Cohort, is looking at how much energy is being utilized by heat pumps, information that will help inform incentive programs. https://lnkd.in/ewf4c2By

The MEGA is considerably less expensive and is both EV charger / inverter agnostic; it works with many solutions. 4. Finally, the MEGA has removable wheels so you can transport it easily. Scaling a nascent industry like Direct Air Capture feels like solving a big puzzle. You need to make all the pieces (customers, investors, suppliers, etc.) fit together to achieve the ambitious growth required for net zero.    As we‘re looking to deploy Project Dawn with a capacity of 20,000 tCO2/year in 2026, we really see the need for true pioneers as partners.    That’s why we were excited to welcome the Breakthrough Energy team around Ashley and Francisco to our facilities in Ismaning this week.    The Breakthrough Catalyst program (link in comments) is one of the few initiatives taking the lead on FOAK financing. They support the most promising technologies in this crucial step of scaling up from pilot stage to commercial readiness.    We gave them a tour around our lab and showcased our Hydrolyzer stacks and absorber modules – the heart and lung of our DAC system. As a Connector partner of the American-Made Program, ISTC is so proud to see that two #Illinois teams were recently awarded Community Energy Innovation Prizes in the Manufacturing Ecosystem track! The Community Energy Innovation Prize supports capacity building, innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development related to clean energy and climate for disadvantaged communities in accordance with the Justice40 Initiative. The prize has three tracks, each with distinct goals and submission requirements: Collegiate, Clean Energy Ecosystem, and Manufacturing Ecosystem. Clean Tech Innovation Network (Chicago, Illinois) and Southland Development Authority Team (Tinley Park, Illinois) won in the Manufacturing Ecosystem Track. In this track, competitors were asked to develop ideas around manufacturing-related education, entrepreneurship, resilient supply chains, and more.
