🌟 What a great experience to attend TechBBQ this year! The event was a huge success, with 80% of the participants from Life Science Academy for Startups expressing they were extremely satisfied with the setup 🙌 Here are some key insights from the event: 🔑 Pitch with clarity – “Receiving honest, negative feedback is gold. It shapes your growth.”  🔑 Investor mindset – “Understanding what investors are truly looking for in startups like ours has given us a clear direction.”  🔑 Networking beyond expectations – “Meeting people from different fields for short, impactful conversations has led to potential partnerships I couldn’t have foreseen.”  🔑 Act now, adapt later – “I realized that I need to create the MVP, even if the hardware isn’t perfect. No more waiting!” Our connections with investors, collaborators, consultants, and potential employees also proved extremely fruitful. AgriMercarb and Ecovon picked for the MassChallenge Switzerland Accelerator. Two Ghana-based companies, AgriMercarb Ltd and Ecovon, have been selected for the MassChallenge Switzerland Accelerator. The two companies are among 103 early-stage startups selected to join the 2024 acceleration program. The selected early-stage startups come from 37 countries spanning 5 continents and have all committed to sustainability. Over the next 4 months of acceleration, the startups will engage with industry experts, corporates, and investors, while receiving world-class mentoring, tailored programming, free co-working space, and numerous key networking opportunities. 🥁 It’s done: The voting period has officially ended! Over the past few weeks, the public had the chance to vote online for their favorite startups, while our expert panel also reviewed and evaluated the TOP24. Now, we are combining both sets of results to determine the TOP10 startups of 2024! Our participatory selection process involved two key stakeholder groups: 1. A rotating Startup Experts Board from the NRW startup ecosystem. 2. Public voting through our homepage. Why these two? This inclusive approach ensures a comprehensive and multifaceted evaluation that reflects the dynamic nature of our startup community. We are excited to announce and introduce the TOP10 startups very soon! These outstanding startups will have the opportunity to pitch their companies on stage at the Hinterland of Things Conference. Tomorrow is the National Startup Competition, organised by Venture Cup Denmark.
