While it's commendable that P&G has been recognized for its sustainability efforts, let's not overlook the fact that being named one of Barron's 100 Most Sustainable Companies doesn't necessarily mean they're doing enough. The real question is whether P&G's sustainability initiatives are truly making a significant impact or if they're just paying lip service to environmental concerns. It's easy to tout sustainability as a core value, but actions speak louder than words. P&G needs to be transparent about the actual results of their sustainability efforts and whether they're meeting their stated goals. Are they truly reducing their environmental footprint, or are they just greenwashing their image? Furthermore, P&G should be held accountable for any negative environmental impacts their products or practices may still have. It's not enough to focus solely on reducing their own footprint – they need to address the entire lifecycle of their products, from sourcing raw materials to disposal. While it's encouraging that P&G is focusing on areas like Climate, Waste, Water, and Nature, it's crucial that they continue to push the boundaries of what's possible and strive for even greater sustainability. Consumers are increasingly demanding more from companies when it comes to environmental responsibility, and P&G shouldn't rest on its laurels just because it made a "top sustainability companies" list. #DemandMore #TransparencyMatters

🌎 At Fieldfisher, we aspire to be a responsible and sustainable business and seek to put that commitment into action in a holistic, unifying and pragmatic way across our strategy, client services, operations, and culture. "Embracing ESG", in conjunction with "people first – our clients, our people and our communities" and "collaboration", provide three mutually reinforcing pillars for our vision of our business. We think this vision aligns very strongly with our clients' and our people's expectations. #WorldEnvironmentDay provides us with an important prompt to refocus our commitments and collective action. We are increasingly focused, across our business, on how we can continue to drive our action around Net Zero and, in particular, on two key areas: 🟢 Managing levels of business travel and seeking to travel in less carbon intensive modes and classes of travel, where possible and subject to client servicing requirements. We have engaged with our travel provider to understand how we can build strategies and approaches to build an appropriate balance between our client service requirements and supporting shifting mindsets and providing our people with tools and guidance to help put action and a culture of "sustainability aware and less carbon intensive choices" in their hands. 🟢 Evolving our approach to sustainable procurement and engaging with our supply chain, especially around Scope 3 emissions data. In parallel, we also seek to foster shared conversations and opportunities for our people to directly engage around supporting environmental conservation initiatives and impact. Our key environmental conservation initiative, Rooting for Change, is a portfolio of firm-funded projects that supports and empowers people-led conservation to combat and solve for climate change. These projects are led by local communities to embed local leadership and expertise with tools and resources to protect their environment for future generations. Keep your eye on our socials today for more details on these projects. This was the perfect day to host an interactive, client-focused insights session in collaboration with Zero Carbon Forum. Experts from our Sustainability and ESG team, including our speakers Jessica Gardner, Aonghus Heatley, and Zero Carbon Forum's Mark Chapman shared their latest insights on the UK and #EURegulatory landscape for sustainability in the #hospitality sector. We'll soon be sharing key takeaways from the session. #WeAreRootingForChange #Sustainability #EnvironmentalAction #Generation #Restoration #ESG #ClimateAction

It’s great to be working for a company which is ranked in top 10 in Barron’s list of ‘Most Sustainable’ companies of 2024 again. P&G has made it to this elite list now for 5th consecutive year. This milestone serves as a testament to our commitment to set a new standard of superiority to serve our consumers, customers and all stakeholders, while growing categories & markets. At P&G AMA, our supply chain continues to make strides in important area of environmental sustainability focusing on all scope areas- 1, 2 and 3. We are progressing well against our Ambition 2030 commitments by reducing our environmental footprint (with focus on reducing CO2 emissions through intentional SND choices, minimising plastic usage in product & packaging, driving zero waste to landfill at our sites, efficient use of Energy & Water in our supply chain operations etc). We continue to also drive awareness across broader Supply Chain Organization and communities we impact, on this strategic priority for business & supply chain. Having said that, we see this progress as just the beginning. We have HUGE opportunity ahead of us to amplify the impact by accelerating adoption of best in class ‘use cases’ across the region in all vectors, championing Sustainability as the ‘way we work’! Thanks to Pyoung Won, Imran Ali Ahmad ,Thungprom Maneerod, PMP , Rohit Batra and my AMA Supply Chain lead team who are personally making a positive difference in this space. #sustainability,#powerofpeople,#responsiblegrowth

From reducing total environmental footprint, to only buying 100% renewable energy, we make it our business to know our tenants’ ESG targets. To celebrate this year’s Earth Day, we are looking at what is important in global communities. The businesses that form our asset communities have critical and measurable ESG commitments. Many are Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) [PCA1] to reduce emissions and set net-zero targets, as well as social and charitable pledges. By knowing what matters to our customers, we can better design, build, measure and manage places for people to live, work and thrive. We describe our portfolio as lifestyle assets – buildings that can help foster diverse and inclusive workplaces and provide sustainable and caring working environments. This Earth Day Pembroke celebrates the fantastic work our tenants and property teams have achieved to date, whilst continuing our efforts to develop environmentally sustainable and healthy buildings that deliver the best outcomes for our tenants, investors, and our communities. Achieving near-zero GHG emissions at more than half of our 11 sites, sustainability has been at the heart of our own operations for years. We’re proud to celebrate our milestones so far, but this is just the beginning! With @BPG, we’re setting even more ambitious goals – including addressing the social and environmental impacts across our entire value chain. Together, we can transform sustainability ambitions into actions that drive meaningful change. #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #WasteManagement

Are We Truly Protecting Our Environment or Just Capitalizing on It? The rise of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives has become a mainstream trend. But I can’t help wondering: are we really making strides in safeguarding the environment, or has ESG simply become another lucrative business opportunity? It’s disheartening to see that despite all the money being funneled into these projects, tangible progress for environmental protection remains elusive. Take a moment to reflect on what we witnessed during the COVID-19 lockdowns. With human activity at a standstill, nature began to reclaim its space. Wildlife roamed freely, skies cleared up, and the air quality in many cities improved remarkably. For the first time in decades, we saw what a world with reduced human impact could look like. It was a powerful demonstration of the healing capacity of our planet—if only we let it. Yet, what have we learned from that experience? Unfortunately, not much. As soon as restrictions were lifted, we went back to business as usual, ramping up activities that once again polluted our cities and damaged ecosystems. Our response? Pledges to “invest more in the environment”—but without addressing the root causes. And it’s not just individuals; it’s leaders and policymakers too. We often hear about grand summits where country leaders and corporate executives fly across the world to convene about environmental issues—producing a significant carbon footprint in the process. All of this could have been achieved through virtual conferences, but instead, we choose to show up in person, burning fuel and resources that contradict the very message we preach. Where is the leadership by example? It’s a painful irony: we speak of sustainability, yet our actions suggest otherwise. We advocate for protecting the environment, but often fail to practice what we preach. How can we genuinely make progress when our strategies are driven more by financial incentives than by a genuine desire to protect our planet? There are countless such contradictions around us. ESG should not be about tick-box exercises and corporate profitability. We need to remember that the future of our planet is at stake. We owe it to ourselves, and to future generations, to ensure that we prioritize true environmental action over profit. It’s time to rethink our approach, to align our actions with our words, and to truly make a difference for the future of our environment. #Environment #ESG #Sustainability #ClimateAction #CorporateResponsibility #GreenInitiatives #EcoFriendly #Leadership #FutureGenerations #ProtectOurPlanet #SustainableDevelopment #Nature #Greenwashing
