The role of #China is an increasingly important topic to understand global dynamics in all #decarbonization technologies, incl. #PowertoX and #hydrogen #Greentech but equally so in the upstream #wind part of the value chain
Did you know that when it comes to wind, China now: 1️⃣ Accounts for nearly two-thirds of global full supply chain scope? 2️⃣ Installs more than half of all global wind capacity? 3️⃣ Has for a long time been a core global supplier of wind turbine subcomponents, but this role is now shifting towards assembled turbines? These were some of the core messages from my presentation yesterday on the role of China in the world's wind industry at WindEnergy Hamburg. Thank you to the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) for hosting 👏

It is FANTASTIC that WindEurope is putting the spotlight on electrification of the demand side! Tripling renewables (the supply side) will take us nowhere, but rather be extremely costly and inefficient unless we also increase the demand for renewables, aka electrify transportation and heating. Looking forward to sharing the insights from our corner of the energy transition, the low and mid temp industrial process heat!
This week Camilla Nilsson is going to Bilbao and will join not one, but two sessions at WindEurope’s Annual Event! 📣 See her at: 🗣️ “Industrial heating electrification: a real opportunity for Europe decarbonisation” on March 20th at 11:30; 🗣️ "Electrifying transport, heating and industry with wind" on March 21st at 11:30. WindEurope's annual event is the premier gathering for wind energy professionals globally, set to take place in Bilbao, Spain. Over three action-packed days, join more than 12,000 attendees in exploring the latest developments and the future landscape of European wind energy.
