🚢💡 This is a timely and crucial event—I’m very much looking forward to it! 🌍✨Not least to discuss the fact that according to the European Environment Agency #GHG emissions from the EU #maritime sector are up 19.9% since 1990 and projected to climb even higher by 2030 and higher still by 2050. It's clear we’re not out of the woods yet! 🌱📈 This is taking into account measures like #ETS and #FuelEU Maritime, and with roughly half the industry investing in alternative fuel vessels, mainly #LNG pathway ships, but also dual-fueled #methanol and #ammonia vessels, so the question remains: ⚡ How do we convince the other half still investing in heavy fuel oil vessels to act—and turn the ship around before it hits the climate change rocks? 🌊🔥 #MaritimeDecarbonisation #Sustainability #GreenShipping #ClimateAction #FutureOfShipping #ESS2025🚀⚓
