Lazard ups 2024 volume outlook to $150 billion, expects GP-leds to accelerate. I had the opportunity to attend the “How IPO ready are you?” Marketplace Webinar hosted by the London Stock Exchange, which brought together industry experts to discuss the complexities of IPO readiness. The session featured key insights from banking and finance industry leaders associated with institutions with the likes of Deutsche Bank, Moelis & Company, Latham & Watkins, Aon and London Stock Exchange. A few key takeaways: 1. Emphasis on private companies acting like public companies even before considering an IPO. This involves establishing rigorous internal processes, transparency, and corporate governance structures that mirror public market standards. 2. Internal research and reflection. Companies need to thoroughly understand their market position, financial health, and growth potential to build a solid foundation for a successful IPO. 3. Planning for advisory costs, which are often substantial but necessary to build strategic alignment and effective communication with investors and stakeholders throughout the IPO process. 4.
