On Earth Day and everyday I'm continuously impressed with the scale of impact Tetra Tech has through the more than 100,000 projects our scientists, engineers, and technical specialists perform each year. Global results include: 4.16 trillion gallons of water treated, saved, or reused 120,804 megawatts of renewable energy generated or transmitted 5.7 million hectares of land and water ecosystems protected, managed, or restored 52.2 million metric tons of CO₂e avoided or captured 336,787 people benefited from social and governance programs Internally, we continued to work towards our GHG emissions reduction goals. While our business grew significantly through acquisition in 2023, we decreased our emissions per employee (Scope 1 and 2) by 6.9 percent, from the updated 2021 baseline. We again expanded our Scope 3 data sets in 2023, with the inclusion of commuting data, and took several actions that had a beneficial impact on our GHG emissions in the reporting year and for future years. Tetra Tech received the EBJ Diversity & Inclusion Award for our work to support, engage, and advance staff at all levels of the firm through our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council and eight global Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). These support company-wide goals of increasing employee diversity, fostering inclusivity, and supporting the professional and leadership development of employees from historically marginalized groups. In 2023 Tetra Tech’s workforce included: 37% women 38% women in management 44% employees of color. We continue to work toward achieving our ESG goals and reducing our GHG emissions to support global efforts to achieve the Paris Agreement’s 1.5-degree Celsius target. We are committed to improving the lives of people around the world and using our Leading with Science® approach to produce scalable solutions that will help mitigate the effects of climate change and contribute to a better world. ABB's Q1 2024 results have been published. The full report includes our sustainability achievements for the first three months of the year. Areas of significance include: A 28% reduction year-on-year of CO₂ emissions due to a shift to green electricity and a lower use of fossil fuels in our operations. A 7% decrease year-on-year in our lost time injury frequency rate, maintaining a consistently low level of incidents. A 2.5%-points increase year-on-year in the proportion of women in senior management roles, demonstrating strong progress towards our target. This report highlights concrete results from our efforts over the past four years, including the successful Proof of Concept (POC) demonstrating the technical feasibility of using hydro-treated vegetable oil (HVO) in our Caterpillar backup generators. This groundbreaking initiative in Latin America underscores our leadership in sustainable practices, as HVO can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 85%. Despite these advancements, we acknowledge the economic challenges, as HVO is currently five times more expensive than traditional diesel. Once HVO becomes commercially scalable in Latin America, we plan to start replacing the fuel in our tanks, further solidifying our position as industry leaders in sustainability and clean energy solutions. This week, our team at Baker Hughes released our 2023 Corporate Sustainability Report. Schneider has released our 2023 Corporate Responsibility Report. It underscores our unwavering dedication to sustainability, associate empowerment and responsible business practices. I’m proud of our progress, especially these key highlights:  Reducing emissions: Schneider achieved a 7% reduction in emissions per mile, putting us on track to meet our 2025 goal. Scope 1 & 2: The report now includes both Scope 1 and 2 emissions, providing greater transparency into our environmental impact. Electric fleet: Schneider operates one of North America’s largest battery electric vehicle (BEV) fleets, with nearly 100 Freightliner eCascadias. In 2023, our BEVs covered over 1.5 million zero emission miles! Empowering our associates: Schneider continues to build a culture of inclusion with the addition of three new business resource groups, and women now make up 13% of our drivers, which is above the national average.
