The Stilling SUSTAIN™ label is our way of showing that a given product meets our highest criteria for responsibility throughout all phases of the product lifecycle; production, period of use and disposal. The SUSTAIN™ labelled curtain tracks: 1) Are produced from min. 50% recycled materials. 2) Are at least as durable as the equivalent conventional product. 3) Are composed of recyclable materials. 4) Are produced and transported with minimized or otherwise improved energy consumption. Reaching a 20% share of SUSTAIN™ labelled sales is an important milestone, but naturally our ambitions go higher, and we've recently added additional recycled aluminium curtain tracks to our portfolio. 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 - 𝗲𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝟮 At our site in Forssa, Finland, we have been manufacturing #glasswool since 1971⚙️. Since that time, we have continued to improve, and today we are working hard to reduce the environmental footprint of our production 🍃. Recently, we tested very #lowcarbon production. Each step of the production process has been reviewed to reduce the carbon footprint as much as possible 📉. Through a set of initiatives across the entire value chain and the combination of low-carbon energies (biogas and low-carbon electricity), we have been able to reduce the plant’s CO2 emissions by 82% on scope 1 and 2, without modifying the performance of our products ✅. These seminars were an eye opener for Phoenix at the Recycled Materials Association (ReMA) in April. Accumulation at scale = more learnings for us to bring back into Aotearoa NZ's market. We are installing infrastructure around NZ to safely recycle what is a challenging waste stream; essential to so many things we use everyday. There are many issues to be addressed here around re-use, re-warranty, insurance of the batteries themselves when new, insurance of the premises they are sold in as new, insurance of the premises and homes they are re-charged in, insurance of the premises they are recycled in.... and the list goes on.
