As we celebrate Pride Month, here’s some food for thought: How can marketers ensure everyone feels seen year-round? 🩷 We spoke to three brands in India to find out how they’ve cracked the code on creating genuinely inclusive ads. 🏳️🌈 Be consistently inclusive: Joy Personal Care by RSH Global The skincare brand walks the talk on inclusivity by featuring plus-sized women, sex workers, and survivors of acid attacks in its ads over the years. Last November, it shone the spotlight on transgender people. 🏳️🌈 Be community-led: Bausch + Lomb India The eye care brand not only told the real stories of real LGBTQ+ couples — it engaged the community throughout the creative process. The campaign resonated widely, achieving a reach of 13.5M. 🏳️🌈 Be in the everyday: The Times Of India and Bombay Times Bombay Times launched a series of videos on YouTube showing how workplace discrimination impacts the livelihood of the LGBTQ+ community.
