Wednesday July 17 2pm ET. www.FCNY.org/aiwebinar The session is also great for teams of nonprofit colleagues who want some common language and understanding on AI. I'll write more about this soon - but finding safe and incremental ways to use AI is about equity and efficiency. AI helps staff of many different backgrounds elevate their contributions. And efficiency means doing more with less. Efficiency is necessary to fight staff burnout or to serve more clients, better, with the same sized grants and contracts. #EfficiencyIsSocialJustice

It's a clear signal from the top that you are free and encouraged to explore, learn and help the organization figure out how to maximize their potential with the new technology. I'm hearing a lot about AI in the nonprofit field. But my alarm bells go off when I see organizations focusing on AI before nailing basic organizational functions. Functions like these: ▶ A strong database of those involved with your programs ▶ Clear communication to those you serve ▶ Basic automations (such as with Zapier) to save staff time Instead of focusing on AI at SODA: Student Organ Donation Advocates, we have decided to focus on how we can do our programming - supporting student organ donation advocates - more effectively. Next semester, we're excited to launch a leadership development course for our students to provide them the foundations they need to be effective leaders in high school, college, and beyond. The course will not only create a better student experience, but make our nonprofit's operations more lean. The bottom line? Don't always follow the newest trends. Instead, ask yourself "how can I best serve my community" and follow that. It will be a better path every time. #nonprofit #coursedevelopment #organdonation #savelives #leadership #genai
