Tomorrow will mark the 120th anniversary of Charles Stewart Rolls first meeting Frederick Henry Royce at The Midland Hotel in Manchester. It was the start of an enduring and very productive partnership. Over a century later, long-term relationships remain a cornerstone of who we are and how we do business. Rolls-Royce is driven by long-term, win-win partnerships. Our horizons are long, with success dependent on lasting relationships that address the opportunities and challenges of the future. Our products are designed, manufactured and used over decades. We deliver them with quality and consistency, through sustainable collaborations with our customers and supply-chain partners. And we invest for the long-term, developing the technologies our customers will need in the future, such as our UltraFan engine, while meeting their needs today. We have developed technologies that Charles Stewart Rolls and Frederick Henry Royce couldn’t possibly have imagined. Rolls and Royce laid the foundations upon which generations have built the company we know today. Now we are strengthening those foundations through our transformation, to create a high performing, competitive, resilient and growing business. The changes we are making within Rolls-Royce will write the next chapter in our company’s history, just as that meeting in Manchester wrote the first.

✈️✈️ - 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱. I was flying home this weekend from my best friend’s wedding in North Carolina, 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺, and I was impressed with what I experienced on 𝘿𝙚𝙡𝙩𝙖 𝘼𝙞𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨. As a business owner I am continually observing how others "do business." As I was prepping for an upcoming training called, 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘵 𝘣𝘺 𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯: 𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘮 & 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘔𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘴, on my three hour and 40 minute flight from Atlanta to Phoenix, I overheard something really beautiful. The Delta flight attendant approached a passenger in front of me and said the following, "Thank you Mr. (can't remember his name) for being an elite status member with Delta Airlines. We not only appreciate your business, but know we are grateful for you and want you to know you are seen and you are appreciated." - 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝗮𝗮𝗮𝘁?!! Honestly, 𝘐 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 in that moment for simply hearing this interaction. 💙💙 I was not only impressed with what the flight attendant said, but I also appreciated that an organization as large as Delta Airlines, still ensures these small, intentional interactions take place in their BIG business. As you all know, I talk a lot on how small, yet intentional interactions make for big impact and how every interaction we have is an opportunity to build, maintain, or break down relationships and ultimately the culture of our organization. Thus, my closing question for you all, is what intentional action will you do today, tomorrow, this week to build the culture of your organization?
