One of the hardest decisions I ever made was leaving OtterBox. I had worked tirelessly to build a wonderful career, a high-performing team, and I had climbed that proverbial ladder. But for some reason, I had this pull, almost a calling, to do something more. In 2012, I officially made the leap to start my own marketing and PR agency, WildRock Public Relations & Marketing. Despite so many successes, my journey was often marked (and still is) by setbacks and sometimes feeling so alone with my aspirations. Like you, I’ve done “all the things” to continue to level up: ✅ Attended business retreats and conferences where I networked the heck out of the room - only to be left exhausted and overwhelmed without tangible outcomes. ✅ Joined groups for professionals to help me navigate the complexities of life as a career woman but found it was never packaged to address both the business and personal sides of our lives. It was simply one or the other. ✅ Read all of the books and listened to the right podcasts in my “free-time” to figure out what was next, but had nobody to bounce ideas off of or a plan for what to do with the information I had gathered. Does any of this sound familiar? Not being able to find the community, helpful resources and space to think made me realize that other women might be feeling the same way, and I made it my life’s passion to support others in ways I had always dreamed of finding. So whether you’re engaging in a women’s retreat or business coaching and consulting, you’ve come to the right place. This is why Trailblazers was born.

“Company culture” is such a common buzzword that sometimes it loses all meaning. But at Spruce, we don’t just talk the talk—we walk the walk! It took a long time to build up the culture at Spruce, but now it’s so important to us that we consider it in all our decisions. For example, we make changes slowly because we don’t want to disrupt our culture with new methods. Our dedication to company culture really shows. We get a lot of compliments on it. But most importantly of all, everyone at Spruce loves it! Recently, one of our competitors tried to poach our top sales guy. They made a great offer—one we couldn’t match. We had a long conversation about the future, where he wants to go, and what he wants to do. I banked on the fact that we’ve developed and nurtured his career, then let our experience together and the culture we have at Spruce speak for itself. He ended up staying! What brought you to this company? Triad was a sub-contractor on the job I was on in Hackberry, LA with McDermott. I helped run the material department and ordered all of Triads materials, so I was able to establish a relationship with them. I loved how personal the company was and how they went above and beyond for their employees. 2.) What's the best thing about your job? Traveling and meeting new people! 3.) Who or what motivates you? Family 4.) What's the best advice you've ever received? Make your dreams a priority because you only live once. 5.) What's your favorite quote? Teamwork makes the dream work. 6.) What's your favorite sports team? WHO DAT- GO SAINTS 7.) What's your favorite tv show? I love murder mysteries. 8.) What's one item you can't live without? Amazon 9.) What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? I enjoy working out and hanging with my husband and our two dogs. 10.) What's a surprising or fun fact about you? I'm a triplet.

OWL Eyes on me! I'm honored to share this post as the newest OWL in the parliament. My name is Haley Stoltzman and I joined OWL in 2022 as the Business Operations Manager. I come from a background in software project management and small business operations. While I don’t have the exciting origin stories of our owners/founders (please scroll down on our page to read the true stories of how OWL came about), I do have a short Q&A style post! What's the best piece of advice you've received that has guided your professional journey? “Follow the leader, not the money.” This piece of advice was given to me by my first professional mentor at JBS. He emphasized that if I found a company/leader with a vision I believed in, to stick with them and learn and grow (and the money eventually follows). I’ve really taken the advice to heart and have had such a rewarding career working for software start-ups, starting a company with my husband and now working for OWL. Really being invested in a team and vision makes each day so fulfilling and I’m so proud to say that I work with an amazing team here at OWL. What aspect of your business brings you the most joy and fulfillment? When colleagues ask me “Hey, can we get a report on X?” or “Do you have the number of Y?” and I can say YES. I am a big believer in process, data and transparency and I feel that I am doing my job well when I’m able to share clear insights with the team. What's your favorite type of music to play in the office to stay motivated and focused?  I always have music on in the background as I work (work from home can get quiet!) and I’ve really been enjoying country classics. How do you like to spend time outside of work? I love spending time with my husband, our 4 children and dog. We really enjoy getting out into the great Colorado outdoors with (very short) hikes and lots of time at the park. Cooking, mountain biking and yoga are some other ways I like to kick back when time allows.
