Considering oceans: -Cover roughly 71% of the earth’s surface… -Contain ~97% of our planet’s water… -Have approximately 40% of the world's population living within 100 kilometers their coastlines (which is double the global average population density)… -Provide resources such as food, jobs, and income for almost 3 billion people globally, across both developed and developing countries… We might be well-served to spend more than one day/week each year focused on them. Get a jump start on UN World Ocean’s Day with Newday Impact Investing and an inspiring group of innovators solving for oceanic restoration, regeneration, and resilience. https://lnkd.in/gasYK3Xk.

For more than six decades, DRI has tackled global climate challenges. But fortifying communities against environmental devastation requires more than science — it demands diversity of thought and the collective resolve of leaders and subject matter experts across the full spectrum of public and private sectors. Our new global initiative, AWE+, will begin with a wildfire summit where delegates will grapple with difficult questions, share ideas, and form collaborative relationships that enable them to reduce risk and improve resilience to wildfire. https://lnkd.in/gpMPURvW
