Fort Washington’s Fresh Network recently organized our own “Shark Tank,” a friendly competition modeled after the long-running show where associates pitched ideas that may lead to process improvements, cost savings, revenue generation, employee satisfaction, and new efficiencies. Three associates presented ideas to our panel of “Sharks.” Each presentation was thoughtful, interesting, and innovative. Thank you to our presenters, Neal Davis, Nathan Dillon, CFA, and Skylar Lewis, and The Fresh Network for putting on this great event! The Fresh Network is Fort Washington’s young professional group and provides a forum for our associates to get to know each other, work together to support community activities, and develop new and innovative ideas.

I have done a bunch of corporate trainings myself - they were hardly fun. In fact, they were often boring and unhelpful. So here's our solution: transforming those dull training moments into popcorn-worthy entertainment. 🍿 If you are a business and want to help your employees learn more about sustainability (the fun and engaging way), then register to the online webinar at the link in Luca's post below (or ping us to get the recording!) 🎥 And if that sparks your curiosity and want to explore more of it, reach out to schedule an informative and exploratory session - promise: no strings attached! Imagine the impact YOU can make, if all your employees / colleagues learn what it means to live and work more sustainably. 🦸♀️ #sustainability #corporate
Raise your hand if you also loved bedtime stories as a child 🖐️ Why is it that as children we get to learn from fun and engaging stories but, as we grow up, we're asked to get our information from talking heads, graphs and statistics only? We've been asking ourselves this very question at WaterBear Network, alongside our partners at The Ellen MacArthur Foundation. Can we turn dull corporate training into popcorn-worthy entertainment? Join me and Jamie Buchanan-Dunlop as we answer this critical question and delve into the power of story-led learning for boosting employee engagement with sustainability. Here's what you can expect from this session: - Why is storytelling key to sustainability learning? - How does our brain respond differently to stories compared to facts? - What are the barriers to corporations implementing storytelling in their learning initiatives? Curious to hear more? Save your seat by registering here: http://waterbe.ar/3XVeV2L Seen this too late? No worries, get in touch and I'll ping you the recording 📹

Helping fast growth companies WIN THE WAR FOR TALENT by building human centric cultures. SPEAKER | FACILITATOR | HOST
Thanks for sharing Verne Harnish! Onboarding is a massively missed opportunity by many scaling business for setting up new hires peak performance and retaining them on their teams. The first stages of onboarding are akin to the early dates in a relationship—crucial for making a fantastic first impression. It’s not just about charm; it’s the prime time to establish the standards and boundaries that will define the working relationship. After all, you only get one shot at a first impression, and this is your chance to set a benchmark for excellence. Moreover, onboarding is an ongoing affirmation that the new team member has made the right choice. It’s about making them feel continually certain about their decision to join the team, for me its all about the sentiment that "how you do one thing is how you do everything." This phase is crucial for integrating new hires into your culture seamlessly, showing them, not just telling, what we stand for and expect. Let’s make every onboarding experience a model of our commitment to excellence and a reflection of our organizational values.

Just finished the course “Setting Team and Employee Goals Using SMART Methodology”! Check it out: https://lnkd.in/gm_9fPCw. I do recommend it, due to the importance of setting work goals. It is crucial because it provides clear direction and focus, helping employees understand their roles and prioritize tasks effectively, which enhances productivity. Additionally, goals serve as a source of motivation and engagement, fostering a sense of accomplishment and encouraging continuous improvement, ultimately leading to higher job satisfaction and retention rates.
