Last week I wrapped up 3 conferences in 3 cities over 6 days; Marketplace Risk in NYC, GSX in Orlando and MOVE America in Austin.  Here are my combined learnings: 1. Communities want to learn from each other. When you remove roles and where companies sit in an ecosystem, especially between vendor and client, authentic conversation is fostered and real solutions are formed. 2. There are 100s of ways that people are solving for identity, rarely do you find 2 of the same. Very few companies are answering the extension of this important question, is this person who they say they are and SECONDLY, can I trust them within my community? 3. Vulnerable populations are continuing to face high levels of risk, irregardless of industry. As safety protocols are being prioritized by many, gaslighting of policy that has existed is no longer valid. Companies that are not innovating with real trust and safety measures are seeing real world challenges and in many cases not allowing them to win new customers. 4. The amount of 💰 , 🕰️ and operational support being spent on reactive investigations is mind-numbing. 5. Thanks to the 50+ people that I had the opportunity to speak with and learn from in 3 long days. Truly appreciative of the opportunity to learn and share ideas. 6. Attending conferences with another member of your team creates much more meaningful and thoughtful engagement and connection. Indeed. Would you say it is key for individuals to start keeping track of certain areas of their lives e.g: Books we read, movies/podcasts/videos we watch etc and this can all be used as training/finetuning data for personalized AI assistants? There would be ethical considerations in this, such as ensuring the data is not sensitive and making sure the data is kept private. However having my own personalized GPT 5/6 would be amazing.
