The #nonprofit #fundraising numbers make a compelling case for a strong end-of-year effort. A remarkable 30% of annual giving occurs in the last three months of the year, and 12% of #giving occurring in the last three days! Further, with 64% of total giving coming from individual donors in 2022, ensuring you have a well-thought-out strategy to attract these dollars is critical. Here are some tips from Blackbaud: https://hubs.li/Q02b0QTB0

Want a great idea for acquiring more monthly donors? Create a list of donors who have given to your organization multiples in the past year with cumulative gifts between $100 and $750. Call each donor and explain the benefits of monthly giving and ask them to give a monthly amount that is more than their cumulative giving. For example, if they gave you $150 cumulative in the past year, ask the donor for $15 a month. If the donor gave you $600 in the past year, ask for $60 a month. If they decline, you still have room to move your ask down to a lower number. We've done this multiple times - and it works! Now that you've acquired new monthly donors, time to audit your monthly donor experience ... but I'll save that for another post. #monthlydonors #nonprofit #fundraising

FOR NONPROFITS SUPPORTING THOSE IN TRAGIC & TRAUMATIC SITUATIONS 🚨 We tend to think of storytelling in terms of beneficiary experiences. Those stories are great! But if the nature of your typical beneficiary story is too tragic or traumatic to share, this is a great way to keep your donors engaged and informed without exploiting those who may be in vulnerable situations. Thanks for reminding us of the power of behind-the-scenes storytelling, Josh Kligman.
Don’t shy away from sharing behind-the-scenes stories. This can actually foster transparency, which leads to trust, which can lead to increased donations for nonprofits. “People need the story to know why their money is needed.” — Survey Respondent #nonprofit #donorengagement happy #storytelling

For nonprofits, planned giving can be a great way to raise funds. Here's how: 1. Educate Your Supporters: Spread the word about the power of planned giving and its potential to create lasting change. Share stories, resources, and success stories to inspire your community. 2. Offer Supportive Resources: Make it easy for supporters to include charitable gifts in their estate planning. Provide guidance, tools, and access to professionals who can help navigate the process. 3. Celebrate Generosity: Recognize and honor donors who choose to leave a legacy gift. Show gratitude, share their stories, and celebrate their impact to inspire others to follow suit. - - #mgale #plannedgiving #nonprofit #fortworthnonprofit #fundraising #fundraisingtips #consulting
