WELL. It's happening! I've just submitted my form to host a Sheffield Regional Tournament for the First Lego League 2024-2025 season.
I'm so excited to be doing this, and that Hive IT are supporting this event. I would not be able to think about doing it without their backing!

What's next?
* Finalise a venue. Suggestions very welcome! I'm talking to a couple already but nothing confirmed yet.
* Pin down volunteers - if you would like to be involved in any capacity, big or small, please get in touch. I'll be needing to find judges and referees, admin people who can be at a distance, people to greet the teams on the day, and lots of things I've not thought of yet.
* Get the word out! If you know of any teams in and around Sheffield, please please let them know. I don't want to host a party of 1. 😅 There are 10 spaces initially, and I'm more than happy to help support teams either by email or try and meet in person if that will help get you to the competition! Especially if they've not competed before, I know it can be daunting, but honestly it's such a lovely event and so focused on building STEM engagement and enthusiasm.

I'm aware this is a massive undertaking, but having just planned a wedding I'm actually feeling much more capable of doing it than I was a year or so ago 😂
