--my Hyundai i20n...is now fixed!! was dead with fuel pump failure for over 5 weeks waiting for a new fuel pump. Hopefully concerted action by Hyundai Australia is starting to help those who are waiting for a fix.
Hello Hyundai...how about sorting out some new fuel pumps that actually work for all the i20n owners who are being left stranded Every. Single. Day. across Australia. Hyundai supply chain is becoming a laughing stock, is destroying the credibility of the hyundai brand and alienating customers everywhere. Over 4 weeks now with my own i20n stranded at dealers and service team has no real idea when a replacement will arrive. There are many others in the same predicament and we would really like to know what you are doing about it...so would your dealers. Please do head over to hyundai i20n owners club page on facebook and look at the many pictures of broken down 'halo' i20n cars on the back of tilt trays and sad stories of heavily delayed fixes....(except for a lucky few)... https://lnkd.in/gdeekKYn (....in the unlikely event that there isn't yet another failure at the very top of the feed, then simply search for fuel pump failure or similar and gaze at the many many posts and pictures...) It is that bad that some owners are taking matters into their own hands and buying their own aftermarket fuel pumps to fit themselves - that's an apalling situation to be in - I sincerely hope no-one is injured in attempting such a thing and pray that no unfortunate Hyundai i20n owner has a sudden fuel pump failure at speed in traffic on a busy road. I do not understand why this is not a formal recall, or why other concerted action is not being taken to remedy this problem. Faults happen - we get it but the true measure of a company's worth is what gets done about it. In this respect, Hyundai is sadly lacking...a great opportunity to help customers and show it cares is being missed. Customer care so ineffective that we individually have to post on linked in and other platforms to desperately try and get some action from somebody, somewhere.....this is a terrible state of affairs..I hope that someone will get the message and help us....

Looks like James Taylor at Vauxhall Motors Ltd takes a similar view to the team at Karfu... BBC News spoke to him yesterday about the cost of electric vehicles, and his focus was on the importance of looking at the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), or as we call it, the Total Cost of Use (TCU). Are electric vehicles ⚡ cheaper than ICE 🚗 vehicles on a TCO / TCU basis? Whilst James states they can be at parity (specifically referring to commercial vehicles), our platform shows the answer can be much more nuanced, especially for consumers. Our view is that it completely depends on the vehicles you are comparing against, how you use them over periods of time (and how long that period is) as well as your personal and local charging infrastructure. In addition, an individual's financial resources and circumstances may give them the ability to access more advantageous finance rates or utilise company-related vehicle access schemes compared to others in less fortunate positions. We're looking forward to launching Karfu later this year and allowing people to compare and contrast using our unique TCU metric. Karfu will help people save money on their vehicles by transparently showing different financial options, bringing traditional finance, leasing, subscription and sharing options into one website and interface.
