Our industry really does punch above its weight, making a significant contribution to global economies that is not always acknowledged or even understood. Industry stakeholders understand that well, and we are using our platforms to make others aware. It was great to see the findings of the Canadian Business Aviation Association (CBAA) Business Aviation Association annual report for 2023 that state BizAv operators and manufacturers generated a combined $11.7 billion in direct economic output as well as supporting 25,600 direct jobs. We need to build on this momentum and show both the public and governments that the service we provide is not only crucial to support business functions but also a huge contributor to the economy in general. #bizav #CBAA #privateaviation
We are pleased to share CBAA’s 2023 Annual Report. We invite you to catch up on our accomplishments and gain insights into the impactful projects that have unfolded throughout the year. Your support and partnership have played a crucial role in our endeavors, and we are truly grateful for your commitment to advancing the aviation industry. #bizav #businessaviation #CBAA #annualreport #aviation

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: BLACKLIST.AERO AND AFBAA HAVE SIGNED A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING With great pleasure I would like to announce that the administration of the Global Aviation Register of Defaulter companies BLACKLIST.AERO and the Directorate of the African Business Aviation Association (AfBAA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Text of the Memorandum: “The Administration of the African Business Aviation Association and the Administration of the Global Aviation Register of Defaulter companies BLACKLIST.AERO, following the principles of creating a transparent business environment in the entire aviation market and preventing fraud and other unscrupulous activities in Aviation, have agreed on the following: 1. The parties recognize the problem of fraudsters and systemic defaulters as a significant obstacle that threatens the safe development of the aviation market as a whole. 2. The parties intend to conduct consultations to develop effective mechanisms to combat fraudsters and systemic defaulters within the AfBAA and at the inter-association level. 3. The parties intend to use all their influence to inform aviation market participants about each other’s activities and introduce advanced business practices that contribute to the formation of a transparent business environment in the aviation market.” I am sure that joining forces in the fight against fraudsters and systemic defaulters can change the situation for the better not only in the African business aviation market, as one of the most developing in the world at present. It also sets an important precedent for disseminating best business practices throughout the business aviation market. I hope other business aviation associations such as MEBAA (Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association), European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) , National Business Aviation Association Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) and others will also take part in our noble initiative. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the entire AfBAA team for their trust. And also for the fact that they have taken on the important mission of improving the business climate in aviation. #aviation #businessaviation #blacklistaero #afbaa #mebaa #ebaa #nbaa #asbaa #cooperation

With an annual output of £30.5 billion, the UK's booming aerospace sector employs more than 104,000 people and is at the cutting edge of transport innovation which has been showcased at this week's fantastic Farnborough International Airshow. It is sometimes easy to focus on the multinationals when discussing the sector’s importance to the UK but the huge contribution of the thousands of SMEs that are the backbone of the sector cannot, and should not, be underestimated. One such company is AML Sheffield. Originally a spin-out from the award-winning AMRC, the 100-strong AML Sheffield has just won the coveted King’s Award for Enterprise Innovation, which celebrates “leaders in their field who adopt exemplary working practices and inspire other businesses." The award is in recognition of AML Sheffield’s ability to apply technologies and lean processes more often seen in the automotive sector to unlock a staggering two-fold productivity increase in the aerospace sector: enabling a leading UK jet engine manufacturer to expand into the lucrative business aircraft market which is expected to grow to $36.4bn by 2030.
