💙🤝 Promoting Inclusion Every Day 🤝💙 On World Inclusion Day and every day, let's pledge to create a world where inclusion is the norm. By teaching our children the power of inclusion, we can foster a more compassionate, understanding, and harmonious society. Here are five essential lessons we can impart to our little ones: 1️⃣ Embrace Differences: Teach children to celebrate diversity in all its forms. Encourage them to appreciate unique abilities, cultures, backgrounds, and interests. Remind them that our differences make us stronger, and that kindness and acceptance are the keys to building meaningful connections. 2️⃣ Practice Empathy: Guide children to understand and validate others' feelings. Encourage them to put themselves in someone else's shoes, encouraging them to listen, support, and empathize. By teaching empathy, we nurture their ability to connect and show compassion towards others. 3️⃣ Stand Up Against Bullying: Instill in children a sense of courage to stand up against bullying and exclusion. Teach them to recognize unjust behavior and provide them with strategies to intervene, whether it's reaching out to a marginalized classmate or speaking up against unfair treatment. 4️⃣ Encourage Collaboration: Highlight the value of collaborative teamwork and the strength that diversity brings. Demonstrate how including different perspectives and ideas leads to innovative solutions and opens doors to new possibilities. Teach children to actively seek opportunities for collaboration and respect everyone's contributions. 5️⃣ Promote Active Listening: Teach children the importance of active listening—a skill that helps them understand and appreciate diverse viewpoints. Encourage them to listen attentively, ask questions, and engage in meaningful conversations that allow everyone's voice to be heard and valued. Remember, these lessons extend far beyond World Inclusion Day. By practicing these principles daily, we demonstrate our commitment to building a more inclusive and equitable world. Together, let's create a future where every person feels seen, valued, and included. 🌍💙 #PromoteInclusion #InclusionMatters #TeachingInclusion #WorldInclusionDay #EmbraceDifferences #Empathy #StandUpAgainstBullying #Collaboration #ActiveListening #TogetherWeCan

Head of Inclusion (Whole School) @ GEMS FirstPoint School | Educational Leadership | Inclusion and Diversity
Inclusion is the cornerstone of a thriving school community. Everyone has a role to play in fostering inclusivity. Recognizing and embracing this collective responsibility is key to creating a truly inclusive environment. When each person understands their unique contribution, the beauty of inclusion comes to life. In our PD session today, we referenced the implementing inclusive education document and collectively mapped out what our individual roles look like at pivotal points within a school day. #inclusion #diversity #education.

HAPPY NATIONAL INCLUSION WEEK! 🎉 When building our training workshops we think it is crucial to consider that everyone has different learning preferences that suit them most. 💡 At Bridgethorne we use many different learning styles to help tap into all our learners personal intelligences. For example, you may best learn visually, linguistically, mathematically, through group work or single work etc. 💡 We use different tools and techniques to ensure there is a good mix of reflection time and active learning placed through-out our workshops which are both important tools to help retain information. 💡 Repetition is also a key element of our workshops as it is very important to tread a path through your neuro-pathways to embed what you have learnt and make it stick! To learn more about how we can help you map out the right learning journey for your teams contact us via this link: https://lnkd.in/eRXUvK5G #inclusionweek #learningstyles #learningculture #learninganddevelopment #traininganddevelopment

Breaking barriers starts with breaking misconceptions! 💥 Inclusion in schools isn’t just about having everyone in the same room—it’s about creating an environment where every voice is heard, valued, and respected. Yet, some notions of inclusion fall short, missing the mark on true diversity and equity. Let’s challenge these outdated perspectives and strive for a truly inclusive education system—one that celebrates every individual for who they are and embraces the richness of our differences. Together, we can redefine inclusion and pave the way for a brighter, more inclusive future! 🌈✨ #inclusion #inclusionworks #createchange #inclusion #community #socialchange #inclusionmatters #disabilityinclusion #communities #inclusión #diversityandinclusion #inclusivesociety #comeonecomeall #everyonewelcome #inclusiveeducation #inclusiveness #inclusive #socialresponsibility #inclusiveeducationservices #inclusiveeducationpolicy #circletime #educationispower #resources #studentsuccess #thecirclemakers

🗣MERGE INCLUSION STRATEGY: USE POSITIVE LANGUAGE🗣 When giving instructions, directions or addressing a situation, frame it in the positive. For example instead of "stop running" say "walk please". instead of "stop touching Manny or I'll tell your mother" say "hands and feet to our selves". Focus on what you would like to see or occur, rather than pointing out the bad. Using positive language provides an opportunity to reinforce appropriate or expected interactions. #ChooseToInclude #InclusionStrategies #LetsTalkInclusion #WordsMatter #IncludeMe #InclusivePractices #InclusionTraining #InclusionMatters #Inclusion
