🌱 At Gradient we’re embracing sustainability in all areas of our business, including what site banners we use. Traditionally banners are made from PVC, which is a harmful plastic made with toxic substances like phthalates and plasticisers. 🔄 Our new banners, provided by our local supplier Prints Regent Limited, are Non-PVC made from polyester fabric which are free from synthetic plasticisers and can be recycled and reused, reducing waste and environmental impact. 💡 Keeping up-to-date with latest advancements in materials is crucial for selecting the most sustainable options. It ensures that we continually improve our environmental footprint and stay environmentally responsible. #Sustainability #Innovation #keeplearning

🌍 Embracing Sustainability with Innovative Label Materials 🌱 In today's world, sustainability is more than just fashion - it's a necessity. As businesses and consumers alike become more environmentally conscious, the demand for sustainable label materials is on the rise. Why Sustainable Labels Matter: * Environmental Impact: Traditional labels often contribute to waste and pollution. Sustainable labels, made from recycled or biodegradable materials, help reduce our carbon footprint. * Brand Image: Companies that prioritize sustainability are viewed more favorably by consumers. Using eco-friendly labels can enhance your brand's reputation and appeal. * Regulatory Compliance: With increasing regulations around waste and recycling, sustainable labels can help businesses stay compliant and avoid penalties. Innovative Materials to Consider: * Recycled Paper: Made from post-consumer waste, recycled paper labels are a great way to reduce deforestation and landfill waste. * Biodegradable Plastics: These labels break down naturally, reducing long-term environmental impact. * Plant-Based Materials: Labels made from materials like sugarcane or corn offer a renewable alternative to traditional plastics. Our Commitment: At Root Sustainable Labels, we are committed to sustainability. By integrating sustainable label materials into our products, we are taking a step towards a greener future. Join us in making a positive impact on the planet, one label at a time. #Sustainability #EcoFriendly #GreenBusiness #Innovation #SustainableLabels

🌍 Celebrating World Environment Day with a Commitment to Sustainability! 🌿 At Unbubble, we're on a mission to revolutionize packaging and make a positive impact on our planet. The shift from traditional, non-sustainable protective packaging materials like bubble wrap and thermocol to eco-friendly alternatives isn't just a trend—it's a necessity. Here’s why this transition is crucial: 📊 Staggering Statistics: Over 300 million tons of plastic are produced annually worldwide. An estimated 40% of this plastic is used for packaging, with much of it being single-use. 90% of plastic is made from fossil fuels. Shockingly, only about 9% of all plastic ever produced has been recycled. These numbers highlight the urgent need for change. By choosing sustainable packaging, we can reduce our carbon footprint, conserve resources, and protect our environment for future generations. Join us in embracing sustainable solutions and making a difference. Together, we can create a greener, more sustainable world. 🌱 #WorldEnvironmentDay #Sustainability #EcoFriendly #GreenPackaging #CircularEconomy #ProtectOurPlanet

As a business owner and individual, what are you doing to be more sustainable? The truth is, we all know we can’t consume our way to sustainability. Here’s a few shocking facts: - 68,733 phones made EVERY HOUR - 190,000 garments produced EVERY MINUTE - 12,000 kg of plastic created EVERY SECOND And yet, ONLY 9% of all plastics ever produced have been recycled. At Elevate Packaging, we’re driven by one mission: To eliminate plastic waste and champion a truly circular economy. Here’s how we’re making a difference: → Designing compostable packaging that breaks down to compost naturally, leaving zero waste. → Creating packaging solutions that regenerate ecosystems instead of polluting them. → Empowering businesses to make sustainable choices that align with their values and brand DNA. Sustainability isn’t just about reducing harm. It's about rebuilding a better future. Thank you to Packaging Europe for bringing attention to one of the biggest barriers to truly closing the circular recycling loop and, more importantly, for presenting a ♻ solution ♻ to the plastics pollution crisis. In this week's issue, Ravi Sharma, Vice President of Research and Development at Digimarc, reveals how advanced sortation technologies, like digital watermarking, can accelerate the global fight against plastic pollution by providing precise sortation that makes circularity possible. This includes identifying the type of application for which the plastic was previously used (whether for food, non-food, hygiene products, and so forth). Digital watermarks really shine compared to other advanced sortation technology in identifying all forms of plastic, including flexible plastics (think chip bags or plastic film). Following rigorous industrial trials conducted under the HolyGrail 2.0 initiative, digital watermarking technology has been validated for advanced sorting of flexible packaging. ♻ To learn more about how you can contribute to the fight to end plastic pollution, read the full article here https://lnkd.in/eFYJeECr We invite you to connect directly with Ravi Sharma or Judy Moon on LinkedIn or at the Sustainable Packaging Summit in Amsterdam on November 12 and 13. Visit us at Booth #13, where we will showcase Digimarc Recycle and advanced digital watermarking technology, a proven solution driving the full circularity of plastics. Also, mark your calendars for Wednesday, November 13, at 11:30 a.m., to hear Digimarc's Judy Moon on the Innovation stage with Wipak's Florian Constabel. These industry experts will discuss 'Proven Solutions for a Sustainable Future: The Technology Set to Drive the Full Circularity of Plastics.' #SPS2024 #recycle #plasticrecycling #HolyGrail2 #digitalwatermarks #PackagingEurope #flexibles Tim Sykes Fin Slater Sam Favager
