Towards 2050, the market for biomethane will grow significantly and take up the majority of gas production, hence eliminating fossil fuels. Our technology can enables this. In Green2x, we utilize #biomass residuals (leftover straw) from farmers and transform them into low-carbon #biofuels (e.g. #biomethane) and #biogenCO2 used in the #PtX industry. In our view, #biomethane is a cornerstone in the decarbonization of hard-to-abate industries and will enable a low-carbon future in the European landscape. With the right sustainability regulations, focus on efficient approval processes, and enabling of new and innovative technologies, we believe that new biomethane plants can accelerate the green transition.

📢 We are happy to welcome CropEnergies AG (DE) as a new member of the #RenewableCarbonInitiative! 🌱👋 CropEnergies is a company with a strong commitment to #sustainability, primarily producing ethanol as a renewable substitute for gasoline. This initiative addresses the challenges of a climate-friendly energy supply, especially in the transport sector. In addition to being used as a fuel, ethanol from CropEnergies is used in a wide range of industries such as beverages, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and #biobased chemicals. They emphasize the efficient use of raw materials, producing protein-rich food and animal feed products as well as biogenic carbon dioxide. Cropenergies AG will provide renewable molecules for the chemical industry. One notable development is the construction of a plant for the production of renewable ethyl acetate by CropEnergies in Elsteraue, Germany. This plant is the first of its kind in Europe. It will produce 50,000 tonnes per year, represents a significant shift towards #RenewableCarbon sources in the manufacture of flexible packaging, coatings, inks, adhesives and related products. With a near carbon neutral production process, it promises to deliver high quality ethyl acetate, enabling customers to significantly reduce their carbon footprint and align with sustainability trends. Further renewable molecules for the #chemicalindustry will follow in the future. Why did they join the RCI? "CropEnergies AG is known for its sustainable and renewable products from biomass. By becoming a member of the RCI, we have taken another significant step towards a climate-friendly future. Joining forces with the RCI aligns perfectly with our mission to contribute to a sustainable world and ensure that fossil carbon remains in the ground.“ For further information, visit: https://lnkd.in/eGwdtYdQ and https://lnkd.in/ejxwGXTY | Member of the Südzucker Group🌍💚 #Defossilisation #netzero #fossilfree #CropEnergies
