🌐 Navigating Europe's PtX Challenges: Call for Unified Policies 🌱 Umwelt Energy's CEO, Alexander Eriksen, sheds light on the hurdles impeding Europe's PtX (Power-to-X) aspirations in his opinion piece in Danish business daily Finans. Despite Denmark's aim for 6 GW PtX production by 2030, projects face challenges such as green power shortages and hydrogen infrastructure uncertainties. The singular focus on carbon capture and storage (CCS) poses an obstacle, hindering the use of biogenic CO2 crucial for green fuel development. This issue extends beyond Denmark; it's a European concern jeopardizing our global green leadership. We therefore look forward to the launch of the EU Commission's Carbon Management Strategy expected in February, where we hope that CCU will receive greater focus and clearer framework conditions.
