🌍 Empowering Youth in Energy Communities: A Comprehensive Analysis 🔋 We're excited to share the insights from our latest deliverable, D2.1, titled “Analysis of the Barriers and Local Conditions for Youth Energy Communities.” This document delves into the regulatory and contractual landscape across Austria, Greece, Latvia, Poland, and Portugal, offering a thorough evaluation of the challenges and opportunities for youth-led energy communities. Key objectives of our assessment: - Analysis of the legal and regulatory frameworks at both the European and national levels. - Evaluation of financial and market design barriers. - Examination of the contractual relationships between energy communities and their members, with a focus on young people. - Exploration of issues related to warranty, safety, and data security. - Identification of social barriers and local conditions for establishing youth energy communities. Engaging 560 participants across five countries, our study ensures diverse representation and robust results. We have actively involved young people aged 15-30, targeting school students, college students, and young citizens, to pave the way for a more sustainable and inclusive energy future.
