It’s B Corp Month – and we have just received our plaque. As you can see, we are rather chuffed!   Being a B Corp means we’ve met an ambitious set of business standards that are better for people and the planet. B Corp Certification is just the beginning, not the end of our journey to better business.    We never stop looking for new ways to grow our impact. Our current focus is socio-economic uplift. So, we are in the process of partnering with a number of charities to help people of all backgrounds get into sustainability. We have been impressed by the collective positive impact they have had against our CSR Four Pillars of environment, workplace, community and philanthropy. It has also been exciting to witness how the inclusive ‘C’ in CSR has been represented with applications characterised by corporates, companies, community organisations and charities. We dove deep into the world of business partnerships and how Learn and Thrive can stand out as a small national and online charity. After our conversation, I found this riverside view to start writing up our new partnership opportunities! 🌊🚤 Key ideas from our brainstorm: Find Our Perfect Matches: Partner with companies whose values really vibe with ours. Win-Win Partnerships: Make sure our collaborations bring real value to both sides, we know our work makes a huge difference to our community, how do we make sure we create the same impact of our partners. . Be Transparent: We know everyone is short on time, so just be up front on what we can do for them and how they can support our community. "Can we have a chat about opportunities" doesn't help businesses understand what they can really do to help. Being honest breaks down barriers and engages a wider range of people. Keep It Real: Relationships take time and effort. Be ready to be a great partner! Feeling good about the road ahead and excited to build partnerships that make a real impact. Twelve years ago, I pivoted my career to the charity sector; it was the best move I could make - but there are many ways to back an important social cause.
