Retain 70% of donors after 3 gifts?!?! 👀 I saw this video a while back (sorry, GaryV and language) where if you get a customer from one visit --> third, the likelihood of them returning after the 3rd visit is 70%! The same is true according to the Fundraising Effectiveness Project, 3-6 donations retain at 72%; and if you get to 7+, you are at 88% 🔥🔥 Keep at it, and enjoy the video; some ideas translate into the nonprofit space.

Econautics believes that the most critical issues of today are all interconnected. For example, you can't achieve health equity if patients don't have access to clean air to breathe, water to drink, and healthful foods to eat. That's why we are actively seeking out and #learning from other #nonprofits in the City of Fort Worth throughout our #reorganization this year. We are #listening to established nonprofits about their challenges, successes and opportunities. We are working to create new #partnerships and to incorporate this #feedback as we design our programs. #Together, we can create #transformationalchange. This week, we want to say thank you to Taste Project Founder Jeff Williams for his time! If you haven't heard of this awesome organization, Taste Project is a nonprofit with a mission to: "feed, educate, and serve our community so they may “…taste and see the Lord is good.” Psalm 34:8. ...Our first project, a non-profit restaurant, focuses on healthy, quality meals made from fresh ingredients. Our menu has no prices. This is a give and take concept. We ask guests to do one of the following: 1) pay what you can afford, 2) pay what you would typically pay, or 3) pay what you would typically pay, plus a little extra." Learn more on their website https://lnkd.in/gX-3HWxa or check them out at: Taste Community Restaurant 1200 South Main Street Fort Worth, Texas 76104 P.S. - Do you know of an awesome local nonprofit that we should check out? E-mail us at info@econautics.org!

🚫 A strategic plan with no measurable goals is just a wish list. ✅ A great plan inspires action AND tracks progress. Too often, organizations invest in plans that lack clear indicators and end up frustrated when progress stalls. Let’s change that. With 20+ years of experience working with nonprofits and foundations, I am often called in AFTER an organization has spent $$$ on a strategic plan they can't understand or implement. Planning shouldn’t be painful. Let’s create a roadmap your team will embrace. 📩 Message me to learn more and be sure an connect for tips you can use https://lnkd.in/edxybs8z #StrategicPlanning #NonprofitLeadership #OrganizationalGrowth

Nearly 150 Dallas-Fort Worth businesses will participate in DFW Restaurant Week in 2024. Reservations are open now, as of July 8, 2024. Between Aug. 1 and Sept. 1, 2024, businesses participating in DFW Restaurant Week sell a two-course lunch or brunch for $29 and a three-course dinner for $49 or $59 per person. At some, this price is lower than the typical cost-per-seat for dinner. At all seatings, DFW Restaurant Week donates about 20% of the meal to the North Texas Food Bank or Lena Pope, two Dallas-Fort Worth-based nonprofits. This event has raised about $11.7 million for both nonprofits in its nearly 30 years, according to a news release. By Sarah Blaskovich #DFWRestaurantWeek #DFWFoodie

Matt Jozwiak, a former chef, founded Rethink Food in 2017 to bridge the gap between excess food and communities in need. The nonprofit has since donated over 24 million meals and rescued more than 2.4 million pounds of food. Rethink Food's model, which supports local restaurants, has been shown by our study to create 50% more jobs and deliver more funding to minority- and women-owned businesses. In this article, we take a look at how this innovative approach has helped secure $65 million in contracts for small business owners. https://mck.co/4bWt6Jk #Nonprofit #smallbusiness

The belief persists that hunger relief organizations are operating under outdated models which deride dignity and limit choice, and it’s a driving force in the pay-what-you-can restaurant movement. Since the nonprofit dining model took shape about 20 years ago, it’s gained a sturdy foothold in the South. The region is home to about one-third of the 14 venues affiliated with One World Everybody Eats (OWEE), a national consortium of cafes without set prices, including new pay-what-you-can restaurants planned for New Orleans and Pittsboro. Industry experts estimate there are dozens more independent venues nationwide relying on a combination of charitable donations and customer payments to underwrite luncheonettes where patrons can choose to forgo all or part of the tab, although about the same number have come and gone since the concept got buzzy. https://lnkd.in/ej3dWphi

TL;DR: new categories on map, seeking sponsorships, and donate today. Two new categories I'm working on fleshing out in my Zero Proof Nation Global Map 🗺️ ⚡️ ⤵️ 1) NA-friendly retailers (shops that aren't specifically non-alc but have a strong commitment to NA options, like DC's Salt & Sundry.) 2) NA-forward bars and restaurants (think non-alc tasting menus, equitable offerings, creativity on menus, etc. - like Kat Quinn Porco,'s One Legged Magpie / Soberbird in Montana). This is a huge undertaking and will gel together over time, with your help. Submit locations ⤵️ to the usual categories and the new ones today! Also, keep ZPN the NPR of NA and ensure this content remains free for EVERYONE. How to do that: Donate one-time or become a member: https://lnkd.in/e_T8H9Qh Subscribe to my Substack with a monthly, annual, or founding subscription: https://lnkd.in/dRYDETzQ Sponsor the newsletter ^ and map. We all know the importance money and understanding our finances plays in ensuring we have choices in life. This is one of the reasons we support PMG Funds' Charitable Trust and their financial literacy programme for rangatahi. Listen to Bridget Lem GM PMG Charitable Trust discussing their mahi, with Frances Cook. #education #learners #literacy #financialliteracy #money
Financial inequality is one of our country's biggest issues, yet we are not preparing our children and grandchildren to deal with it. The PMG Charitable Trust was set up specifically to provide young Kiwis with access to the know-how they need to aid their financial futures. Applying this know-how, however, can be another challenge if they lack the hands-on experience and when money is still seen as a "taboo" topic around the dinner table. In her latest #CookingtheBooks podcast episode, Frances Cook caught up with PMG Charitable Trust General Manager Bridget Lem, to look at ways to engage younger generations in conversations around wealth and financial success.
