VCs don't actually care about market size... they care about exit size! 🎯 They look at market size to see if your biz is in a market that can support a $1bn+ exit. 🔍 VCs assume that if you can get to some amount of revenues you will be valued at $1bn (for SaaS companies this is usually $100m.) 💰 If your market is 20x+ larger than the amount of revenue you need to be worth $1bn it is seen as ‘big enough’ 📏 Unfortunately, knowing how much revenue you need to be worth $1bn is hard 🤔 - It changes based on your market, business model, and margin profile.
