Marta used computational studies to investigate the permeability properties of different compounds within the aquaglyceroporin protein channel in Plasmodium falciparum spp., the microorganism responsible for causing malaria in humans, to assess their potential use as therapeutic strategies for the disease. #Birth Of #CRISPR #Medicine Promises To #Revolutionize #Personalized #Treatment ! (1) In 1992, during the summer of the #Barcelona #Olympics, #Microbiologist Francis-MOJICA #Discovered surprising #Repetitions in the #DNA of a #Microorganism from #SantaPola. He named them #CRISPR, which stands for “#ClusteredRegularlySpacedShortPalindromicRepeats.” His partner, ÁNGELES-Román, warned him that #CRISPR sounded like a dog’s name, but that funny name gave rise to #CRISPR #Medicine, a #GlobalRevolution that today promises to save #MillionsOfLives. (2) Francis-MOJICA’s team published their #Discovery (of #CRISPR as #SurvivalMechanism for #Bacteria) without realizing its magnitude. In 2012, #French #Biochemist EMMANUELLE-Charpentier and #American #Chemist JENNIFER-Doudna announced that the #CRISPR mechanism had “considerable potential” to rewrite #DNA, including #HumanDNA (after publishing a paper in #June2012 describing how #CRSIPR edits #Genes). This #Finding earned EMMANUELLE-Charpentier and JENNIFER-Doudna #2020NobelPrize in #Chemistry. (3) In January 2013, TWO other groups of #Researchers from #Harvard and #MIT led by Feng-ZHANG showed they could use #CRISPR to edit the cells of #Mammals. (4) #CRISPR #Medicine was officially #Born on #November16, when the #UnitedKingdom was the #FirstCountry in the #World to #Authorize a treatment based on these #MolecularScissors (#CRISPR). The so-called #Casgevy #Therapy is capable of curing TWO potentially #Lethal #BloodDiseases: #SickleCellAnemia (also called #SickleCellDisease) and #BetaThalassemia. The treatment consists of extracting #RedBloodCell #PrecursorCells from the #Patient, #Correcting their #DNAErrors in the laboratory using #CRISPRScissors, and reintroducing these #Crisperized #Cells into the patients. The #Effect of the #Therapy can last a #Lifetime. Once and done. The #EuropeanMedicinesAgency recommended authorizing #Casgevy last Friday. They've identified the role of a specific protein, the Interleukin 1 Receptor Antagonist (IL-1Ra), in hastening the spread of Candida Albicans, a yeast fungus infamous for causing blood poisoning. The team achieved these findings through extensive experiments on genetically modified mice - mice lacking IL-1Ra production showed a potent arsenal of neutrophils, enabling successful infection combat. Owing to that the commonly used liposome particle size is too large, poor stability, the Cholesterol was used to increase the stability of nanoparticles or reduce their diameter. This foreign cholesterol may also have toxic side effects on patients. And the existing liquid film process cannot be large-scale production. The aim of this paper is to overcome the shortcomings of the prior art, then put forward a new method for preparing cholesterol-free tumor magnetic resonance imaging enhancer based on nano liposome encapsulation was proposed. We can obtain tumor magnetic resonance imaging enhancers with low toxicity and a good ability to cross biofilm. A recent study by the University of Edinburgh revealed that paracetamol tablets could induce liver damage, as per research conducted on mice. The study on paracetamol, or acetaminophen as it is referred to in Western countries, advised cau- tion, stating risks associ ated with its overuse and overdose. The study, involving researchers from the Univ universities of Edinburgh and Oslo and the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service, was published in Scientific Reports. It was supported in part by the Biotechnology Biological and Sciences Research Council and the Chief Scientist Office.
