#VBHC In Poland In Poland, there is a growing interest in patient-focused models of care, which is part of a broader trend in global medicine. The Ministry of Health and the National Health Fund are taking steps to gradually introduce elements of value-based medicine into the system, although this process is still under development. The implementation of value-based medicine in Poland currently includes various initiatives and pilot projects, often carried out in cooperation with the private sector, scientific institutions and patient organizations. Examples include pilot programs for coordinated care for patients with specific conditions, which place the patient at the center of the healthcare system and the cost-effectiveness of treatments. Full implementation of the VBHC model in the Polish healthcare system requires organisational, systemic and cultural changes, which includes, among others, the introduction of appropriate tools for measuring health outcomes, IT systems enabling the exchange of data between various entities of the health system, as well as the remodelling of the healthcare financing system so that it promotes high quality and cost-effectiveness. On March 7-8, 2024, MUL representatives took part in the largest Health Challenges Conference in Poland, where a lot of space was devoted to the implementation of patient-centered and value-centered care. In conversations with the participants of the Congress, we presented the assumptions and goals of the HL4V project.
