Solving complex health challenges require innovative solutions and shared commitment. How to bridge stakeholders to pull in the same direction? 🌎 In collaboration with Udenrigsministeriet, Indenrigs- og Sundhedsministeriet and Erhvervsministeriet, Healthcare Denmark will host “Tour de Health’24 – Partnering for Sustainable Health Innovation”, this October. The conference will spotlight the power of multi-stakeholder and cross-sector collaborations showcasing Danish best practices and the fundamentals of a thriving health ecosystem. An example to follow is the multi-stakeholder partnership Lighthouse Life Science with a coalition of over 300 public and private partners, including regions, municipalities, pension companies, and knowledge institutions. Utilising data-driven evidence, emphasising implementation, and focusing on international scalability, its goal is to improve health equity and drive economic growth. In a coordinated effort with the embassies in the 13 Danish health diplomacy countries, high-level governmental, non-governmental and other healthcare stakeholders are invited by Healthcare Denmark to join Tour de Health’24 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Tour de Health’24 is co-sponsored by Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, DI - Dansk Industri, Dansk Erhverv, Novo Nordisk, and Lundbeck. How can we explore the collaborative potential of multi-stakeholder and sector collaborations at an international level? 🌎 Multi-stakeholder and sector collaborations in healthcare are globally essential for several compelling reasons, driven by the complexity and interconnected nature of the health challenges we face today. Denmark has a longstanding and robust tradition of finding solutions through partnerships involving both public and private stakeholders across various sectors. These multi-stakeholder collaborations hold significant potential for creating innovative solutions. However, to effectively address the common healthcare challenges, international knowledge-sharing and cooperation is necessary. As part of Healthcare Denmark’s strategic priorities for 2024, we are therefore thrilled to announce that we are repeating the success from Tour de Health’22 – though this time without the Tour de France as a backdrop. In collaboration with Udenrigsministeriet, Indenrigs- og Sundhedsministeriet, and Erhvervsministeriet, Healthcare Denmark will host “Tour de Health’24 – Partnering for Sustainable Health Innovation” this October 💡 In a coordinated effort with the embassies in the 13 Danish health diplomacy countries, high-level governmental, non-governmental and other healthcare stakeholders are invited by Healthcare Denmark to join Tour de Health’24 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The conference will spotlight the power of multi-stakeholder and cross-sector collaborations in revolutionizing healthcare from both a Danish and an international perspective, as well as showcase Danish best practices including the Erhvervsfyrtårn Life Science. 🏥 We need to think differently about our future healthcare system! “Denmark faces challenges in the healthcare sector, but the potential in digital health can solve the lack of workforce and geographical inequality. Barriers such as structures, rivalry, and a fragmented IT landscape hinder implementation. A report from Health Tech Hub Copenhagen and the think tank Mandag Morgen presents 13 recommendations, which through structure will create better digital health in Denmark. The call is to think differently about the future healthcare system, integrate digital health into structures, and lay the foundation for a structural reform in 2024." 💡 Read our Head of Policy & Partnerships @Jannik Zeuthen’s thoughts in @Ingeniøren: https://bit.ly/4biLMmT Curious about the recommendations? 💡 Elevate your knowledge at our master class, "Innovation and knowledge brokering: linking evidence and decision making," at #EHMA2024. Healthcare managers at the regional and local levels are often the first to identify the need for transformation and innovation within the sector. They develop innovative solutions and seek out best practices globally, understanding how to adapt these innovations to their specific contexts. However, successful implementation often requires the support of national policymakers, and at times, those in other sectors like education, labour, and social policy. This may involve changes to regulatory frameworks and payment mechanisms to ensure alignment with innovative solutions. Knowledge brokering is crucial in this process, facilitating the dissemination of evidence and innovative practices to national policymakers. By doing so, knowledge brokers play a vital role in driving the adoption of new practices and policies in healthcare. 🗣 Speakers: - Dr Josep Figueras, Director, European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies, Belgium - Prof Scott Greer, Senior Expert Advisor, European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies; Professor, University of Michigan, USA - Dr Eva Turk, Minister’s Office of Slovenia; Senior Researcher, Centre for Digital Health and Social Innovation, FH St. Pölten – University of Applied Sciences, Austria/Slovenia - Dr Matthias Wismar, Programme Manager, European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies, Belgium This session is organised in collaboration with the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies, which we thank for the generous support to our conference. #HealthcareInnovation #KnowledgeBrokering #HealthPolicy #EHMA2024 #HealthManagement #EuropeanObservatory

Collaboration should have no borders. This week I had the pleasure to join an inspiring idea exchange organised by Denmark in the UK to connect with digital health stakeholders from the UK and Denmark 🇩🇰🇬🇧 Some reflections: 🏆Healthcare culture is key to adopting innovation. Staff can be your biggest champion if you understand this. 🧩Impact stems from how we support existing value drivers and complement existing workflows. We won't improve processes if we don't fully understand them. 🌐 The future of digital health is platforms and integration. There's no appetite to maintain fragmented digital ecosystems, so *in my view* the days of non-integrated point solutions are very very limited... 🧾 More than ever we need (and expect) pragmatic, robust evidence. Music to my academic ears, and some great examples were showcased by Charles Lowe, Ana Luísa Neves, Nanna Iversen and Ylva Pisters Particularly struck by how, across geographies, we are all grappling with similar challenges and barriers. Thanks to Joakim Steen Barron-Mikkelsen and fellow organisers, and looking forward to the resulting collaborations! #DigitalHealth #Innovation #MedTech

🏥 HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS NEED TO CHANGE THE WAY THEY INVEST 📈 AND IMPLEMENT NEW DIGITAL HEALTH TECHNOLOGIES 💻. Those that know me well are aware that I treat my vacations 🏖️ as sacred and stay completely off work duties. However, today I made an exception 🚨 because I had the opportunity to share our experiences at Daman about innovation and implementation of digital health technology in the Danish healthcare system in front of Danish Ministries 🇩🇰. We've just announced the nationwide implementation of UngeKræfter 🌟 as a frontrunner in the Danish digital health ecology. Our experience also highlights that there is still room for improvements in the approaches towards fully implementing and integrating digital health, even in a country as digitally advanced as Denmark. Kudos to Indenrigs- og Sundhedsministeriet, Ministry of Finance of Denmark and Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs for analysing the current situation 🕵️♂️ and listening to our real-world experiences 🗣️. After all, embracing new tech 🤖 might be one of the vital ways to solve the emerging healthcare crisis. Health Tech Hub Copenhagen #futureofhealthcare
