🚨B2B Sales Planning? Don’t do this... 🤝🤖 As I sat in my office, the numbers glaring back at me from the screen, a wave of frustration washed over me. We had a plan, a solid one—or so I thought. Yet, here we were, fighting slow sales and unmet targets. It felt like I was watching a well-rehearsed play fall apart in the final act, right when everything was supposed to come together. 🎭 In moments like these, it's easy to point fingers, to blame the market, the competition, or even the economy. But deep down, I knew we had to look inward. Our first misstep was clinging too tightly to the past. We relied on historical data 📊, assuming that what worked yesterday would work today. But the market had changed, customer preferences had evolved, and new competitors had entered the scene. Our plan, stuck in the past, simply couldn't keep up. Then there were the targets we set—bold, ambitious, but ultimately unrealistic. It was like setting out to scale a mountain without proper gear 🏔️. The goal was there, visible and tantalizing, but the path was treacherous, and we were unprepared. Our team felt the strain, the weight of expectations heavy on their shoulders, and morale started to dip 😓. Lastly, we made the mistake of planning in isolation. The people who interact with our customers daily, who hear their concerns and needs firsthand, were left out of the conversation 🚫. It was a missed opportunity, and it cost us dearly.
