We are incredibly grateful for their support and the delicious food they prepared. Thank you for making a positive impact in our community! ❤️

We can all help other people.
"When you feel like you've got nothing...
And if I am honest, we didn't think we needed support, probably my stubbornness, but we all need support in those difficult times.
We can all help other people."
Transitions can made or break us. While a change is an external event or situation, a transition is the internal psychological process that we are going through as we are navigating through this change.
You might think "I've got this!" yet remember you don't have to "do it all" alone. Asking and accepting support is part of you ensuring you will make it through. And, most of the time, it's not just you who is affected by the change. There's your family, spouse, kids, parents, siblings, your friends, your community members.
We can all help other people. Small ways can make a big impact.
Thanks Sam Teale for making this video.

The saddest video we’ve ever made.
Magic for Yorkshire Children's Charity, they raised 1 million pounds on Saturday night. 1 million.
Take a watch of this and see how they help incredible families.
So blessed this is our job♥️
We are super PROUD to announce that we have hit our target 🎊 Our PLEDGE was to raise 50K and split that pot between 5 LOCAL charities 💰
This wasn’t an easy mission but the TEAM persevered 👏 Events included sponsored cycle event, sparkle night walk, pie & pea lunch, 3 peaks, Snowdon, race night, 10k run 🏃♀️ 🚲🏃♀️⛰️🏃♂️🏇

I find it inspiring to see how Mountain View Printing & Graphics Ltd. has been quietly making a difference in our community by supporting organisations like Inn from the Cold, Calgary Food Bank, Calgary Humane Society, and Kingdom Coffee to name a few...
How do other businesses out there integrate giving back into their business models? Whether it's through charitable donations, volunteering, or other forms of support, I'd love to hear about the creative ways companies are making a positive impact.
#Question: As a small business, what unique approaches do you take to give back to your community, and how do you balance this with the demands of running your business? Is this something even on your radar?
#yyc#GivingBack#CommunityImpact#SmallBusiness#CorporateResponsibility
If you could read the thought bubble over my head…
This is what I’m thinking today: Behind the busy scenes—the crazy pace of our print business—nobody knows about the ways in which we support our local community.
For years, we have been donating to and supporting local charitable organizations like: Inn from the Cold, Calgary Food Bank, Calgary Humane Society and Kingdom Coffee.
As a small business owner, we can only do this if we’re successful. We can help make a difference because we have the capacity (and the compassion). It’s the other side nobody sees.
If you’re a small business owner, how do you do it?

Many of you may not have heard of the app Be My Eyes, I have this on my phone and it is to provide visual assistance when needed.
If a blind or low-vision Be My Eyes user needs your help, you will receive a notification on your phone. If you’re the first volunteer to answer the request, you will be connected with that user. A one-way video connection will be established between the two of you, meaning you can see where or what the blind or low vision user points their camera at and guide them if necessary.
Be My Eyes have a substantial amount of volunteers who are eager to help, so please be aware that you may not be the first to answer, and you may not receive calls daily or weekly. You will only receive calls in the daytime hours of your local timezone between 8am and 9pm.
Please do not worry if you are busy when receiving a call - another volunteer will pick up the call. Secondly, you do not need to have the app open to receive calls. Calls will come through as long as you are logged in to your Be My Eyes account.
Blind and low-vision users may need help with anything from determining expiration dates to finding dropped items to navigating unfamiliar places and much more.
If you are interested in volunteering please use the following link - https://lnkd.in/en3BTPdR#volunteering#visuallyimpaired#bemyeyes#charity

Those of you who know us, know how much we rate Trybooking UK and the team behind it. So much so, that they have been a recommended, 'Go To', associate partner in the Hospitality Partnership since we changed the business model in 2021 to offer a host of different expert resource on a flexible and 'as needed' basis.
This testimonial from the CEO Liz Stewart of Scotland's Garden Scheme, just dropped, and it shows how effective the Trybooking UK platform is for event and ticket sales.
But the platform offers so much more, even seating/table plans, menu choices and dietary notes, takes payment, sends itineraries etc. And guess what it's totally free to use for non-charged events and more competitive than many other platforms for charged events, oh and you only get charged on each ticket sold, so no risk or financial outlay.
Is it important for you to work with UK businesses, then yep, TryBooking are here in the UK not North America.
An amazing team to help and support you, lead by Joan Lind if needed.
Give it a go, honestly, you'll wish you had moved sooner :-)

Huge thanks to Joan Lind and her fab team at Trybooking UK for managing our ticket sales for The Garden of Cosmic Speculation this week, raising funds for Maggie's Centres and Scotland’s Gardens Scheme charities. Sold out in well under 24 hours and we really appreciated their help and advice along the way. Great service!
Well, that was fun..!
I decided to test an upcoming activation concept for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana by running a mini version myself.
I’m happy to reconfirm that peer-to-peer fundraising is alive and well! 🎉 And no… it does not need to be tied to an event or special occasion.
In a little over 24 hours, I exceeded my goal - raising $1,500+ from 24 donors.
Here's what worked:
✅ Great Tech: A seamless and straightforward platform and donation process thanks to my BFF Fundraise Up.
✅ Individual Donor Recognition: Every single contribution was celebrated - personally and publicly!
✅ Regular Updates: I kept the momentum going with live progress shares.
✅ Personalization & Storytelling: Every message came straight from me, with personal anecdotes wherever possible.
✅ Mission Tie-In: I made it clear why donations were so impactful at this specific moment in time.
✅ Multichannel Communication: I reached out to my community through texts, social media, and email.
What did I miss? Anything you’d add to ensure the official launch of this campaign is a success?

We made it! The first day of Spring 🌸 As the days get warmer, the need for support at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana grows. Summer is our busiest time of year as many families use the break to travel for treatments and surgeries.
Mike McDonald and I have an exciting summer ahead welcoming another McDonald boy to our fam! 💙 As you look forward to relaxing days and family vacations, please don't forget those families who will be spending their summer in hospital rooms.
These next few weeks are a critical time to rally the resources needed to help RMHC-CNI be fully prepared to support these families. I've set up a personal fundraiser to pay it forward and ensure we are able to provide a home away from home for everyone who needs it.
Help me reach my goal:
Performance Leader's Feedback for Good program sees us donate up to 2.5% of our software licence fees back to three charities nominated by the client.
It's really simple idea: every time someone provides real-time feedback to a colleague using our fast feedback platform, they get to drop a virtual token into one of three charity buckets. At the end of the year, we donate to the three charities, in proportion to the allocated tokens. (A bit like buying a burger at Grill'd or shopping at Waitrose, except our clients choose their charities).
If you're a Performance Leader client and you want to set this up in your firm, reach out to Logan Balavijendran.
And if you're not a client, but you're curious about how this might work in your firm, please get in touch!
#performanceleader#forgood#feedbackforgood
Congratulations to the team at SPP for achieving your feedback goals, and thank you for being part of our Feedback for Good initiative.
Based on your votes (each feedback engagement = 1 vote), we’ve donated over $500 to the charities of your choice (Beyond Blue, RSPCA Australia and Lifeline Australia).
Feedback isn’t just valuable—it’s impactful. Happy #FeedbackFriday
