Hello everyone, I'm excited to share the culmination of my master's research in Multi-Agent Collaboration and Coordination Systems in Simulated Real-World Physics over the past two years, conducted under the Office of Naval Research (ONR) grant in collaboration with the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. My research focuses on advancing multi-agent systems and artificial intelligence, specifically refining communication and coordination among agents within simulated environments. The aim is to optimize task assignment and scheduling to enhance overall performance and minimize periods of inactivity. In the accompanying video, you'll see agents efficiently executing assigned tasks such as finding, extracting, and collecting resources in the simulation. When an agent locates a resource, it sends requests to nearby agents for assistance. If no help is available, the agent proceeds independently. More details will be available in my upcoming thesis. I extend my sincere gratitude to Professor Shelley Zhang for this challenging opportunity, which not only honed my coding skills but also taught me the intricacies of collaborative research. Research is a critical part of OSU-Tulsa's identity as part of a land-grant university system. Through OSU CEAT, students and faculty from the OSU School of Materials Science and Engineering conduct world-class research for industries including aviation, manufacturing, transportation, biomedicine and energy. Innovation never goes out of style – and these are just a few amazing innovators that have made an incredible impact in our world. From left to right on the top: Dr. Gladys West invented the Global Positioning System (GPS). Clarence “Skip” Ellis was the first African American to earn a PhD in Computer Science from University of Illinois, who went on to pioneer operational transformation, which founded many applications still in use today (oh hey, Google Docs!). Jerry Lawson created the first home gaming console with interchangeable cartridges, while Omowunmi “Wunmi” Sadik, PhD developed microelectrode biosensors used to detect drugs and explosives. From left to right on the bottom: Ray Clay, Sr is credited as the “Godfather of Silicon Valley” and is known for being a successful computer programmer and scientist. Marie Van Brittan Brown created the first home security system. Dorothy Vaughn transformed the way people learned and taught the computer programming language Fortran and worked with NASA, assisting Neil Armstrong in the moon landing. John Henry Thompson invented Macromedia Director Lingo scripting language, and Lucean Arthur Headen is credited as being one of the first black aviators and inventor of aeronautical patents still cited in modern airplane equipment today!
