Hi everyone! Mark Maxfield here, CEO of The Cottages Assisted Living & Memory Care. Those who work for me know that culture is one of the most important things to me for my company. I hired a company President a little over a year ago, which has allowed me to work on the growth and culture of my company. Culture is often what you see, hear, and feel when you walk into your place of business. For me it would be one of our assisted living communities. Recently we had all of our community summer BBQs. I was able to go to ten of them and they were fantastic. I’ve been very impressed with how many people from our other communities showed up to help their sister communities. They assisted with preparing the meals, setting up decorations, and cleaning up. It involved a lot of work. So, my message for you leaders this month is, are you fostering an environment in your culture where people feel comfortable helping other people do their jobs? That means you have to be ok with cross training and cross supporting, so that people don’t feel siloed and like it’s a competition. It shouldn’t feel like a competition. Instead, it should feel like, this is our team. This is our company. How can we help each other to be successful? That’s one thing that I’ve noticed that is really improving in our company. I’m so proud of that and great job everyone! As a leader that is something you can look forward to as well. Making sure that everyone feels safe so that they feel like they can help everyone. In so doing, your entire company will be successful. See you next time. #cottagespride #assistedliving #longtermcare #seniorliving #seniorcare #seniors #healthcare #improvelives #deliverqualitycare #caregiveroftheyear

How do we keep people productive as they age? That's the excellent question Scott Galloway talked about in his most recent interview with Andrew J Scott. People are living longer and that means there isn't just a cost for the people getting older (i.e. they need a paycheck), but there is a broader societal cost in paying for people who are denied the opportunity to stay productive. So it's in everyone's best interest to find new ways to keep seasoned professionals -- who want to stay productive! -- to work. OpenWater Group exists to solve this problem by: - Building a community of experienced professionals so they don't have to go through the next phase of their career alone - Helping people re-package and re-sell their skills in new ways so they can work independently and outside of the traditional 9 - 5/40+ hours per week - Connecting experienced professionals with new working relationships and opportunities Check out the full interview for more insights on aging, longevity and productivity. Then visit https://openwater.group/ to see how we're helping workers stay productive for longer. #aging #workplace https://lnkd.in/gcjrTnHc

🔥 Specialist in Crafting Killer Business & Marketing Strategies for Growth, Scaling, & Investment | Dedicated to Boosting Revenue for Businesses | Seasoned Strategic Marketing Consultant, Success Coach, and Mentor 🚀
🤔 Are you want you wanted to be now you’re ’grown up’? 👧🏼 Today Georgia is playing doctor while we’re on day 3 of her sickness and off nursery. 👩⚕️ I’m currently playing nurse to Georgia. That is not what I wanted to be. 🐎 I think I wanted to be a vet early on. Then I wanted to be a fashion designer but I also wanted to be a model. I was just obsesssed with Vogue and Kate Moss from a young age. 👗 🕶️ 🛑 I’m most certainly not any of those things today. Safe to say I won’t ever be a Vet but a designer and famous - you never know! ✅ However, a career highlight has to be working with Vogue to bring #fashionsnightout to Manchester back in 2013 - it was the most fantastic experience and I got to meet my namesake Matthew Williamson among others. In a world where you can literally be anything. Reinvent yourself, change career at any age, there are endless possibilities and opportunities. Even when you’re stuck at home surrounded by sickness 🦠 🌟 So if your week has been thrown upside down like mine….. ✅ Take a moment to be proud of your accomplishments. ✅Remember, you can only do one thing at a time. ✅ It will pass And if you want to know more about my experience, happy to have a virtual cuppa and tell all. #careergrowth #businessgrowth #thistooshallpass #overcomechallenges

What do you value most in life? I could go on and on about the collection of movies I have on my bookshelves. I could show you around the small Idaho town where I have grown up and now raise my own family. I could even show you pictures on my phone of that same family and the wonderful times we have shared with one another. All of these are what I value most in my personal life. But what about when it comes to your business? Here at Home Care Pulse, we strive to help our customers by abiding by our own values: Being Client-Focused, Committed, Innovative, and Accountable. It can be hard to always be perfect in every aspect of these values, but every so often, I notice ways in which I have lived by these values. Just yesterday, a wonderful client of mine sent an email requesting some information. I quickly found the answer they were looking for, to which they said, "You are always so quick to respond! Thank you!" That may not seem like a big thing to you, but to me, it means everything. It means that someone recognizes that I am striving to live up to these standards, these values. It means that for this customer, I am becoming a little bit more #clientfocused. It's a new year full of new opportunities to improve and to excel in all we do. And why not start off the year with a pair of socks that remind me of what my values are here at Home Care Pulse? #walkinginourvalues #hcpspirit

🌟 Revenue-focused digital community strategist 🚀 Over a decade of shaping specialized online communities. Leveraging data and insights to fuel revenue, loyalty, and engagement.
This week, my daughter embarked on a new journey alongside her friend; they pedaled towards school with the morning sun casting a golden glow on their path. It was their ride unaccompanied by an adult, a significant milestone marking their growing independence and our trust in their abilities. This moment resonates deeply with a core value we cherish in the communities we build: celebrating transitions as progressions, not endings. In our communities, we honor those who venture out to explore new opportunities, recognizing that each departure enriches our collective experience. We applaud their courage to embrace change, much like a child's first ride without an adult. Their leaving is not a loss but a testament to the growth and development we foster within our ranks. Just as my daughter will circle back home, our departing colleagues often return, bringing with them fresh perspectives and experiences that invigorate our community. They venture out, learn, and come back to us, much like the alumni of a great institution whose ongoing contributions fuel continuous innovation and success. The cycle of leaving and returning is a powerful narrative that mirrors life's ebb and flow. It reminds us that each farewell can set the stage for a future reunion enriched by new wisdom and insights. As we bid farewell to a valued community member today, we do so with the anticipation of welcoming them back in the future, arms open, ready to integrate their newfound knowledge and experiences into our ever-evolving tapestry. This philosophy transforms our communities into a launchpad for personal and professional growth, where every individual's journey contributes to our shared story. It's a narrative that celebrates movement, embraces change, and acknowledges that every end is simply the beginning of another adventure. Just as my daughter's ride to school signifies her first steps towards autonomy, our approach to farewells signifies not only our commitment to nurturing a dynamic and forward-thinking community but also our deep appreciation for each member's unique journey. In what ways do you celebrate the departure of your community members? #communityengagement #alumnirelations #personalgrowth

🌟Employee Spotlight🌟 Meet Kat! Kat is a Coordinator in our Human Resources Department. Tell us a little bit about your role at Cass Health. My role is a little different every day, but (mostly 😉) circles around three components. I manage most of the recruitment efforts for Cass Health, so if you apply for a position you most likely will talk to me at some point in the process. I also manage anything to do with students — job shadows, clinical rotations, scholarships, and our annual Healthcare Career Camp. Finally, I assist with internal communication to staff, which includes a weekly newsletter and content for our employee website. What have you gained from working at Cass Health? Besides having the opportunity to develop, grow, and try new things, I would say a great support system. The people who work at Cass Health are just special and really look out for each other. It’s an honor each day to do good work with a great team. Would you rather always be sweaty or always be hungry? That’s a tough one, but always be sweaty. I am not a good hangry person. Would you rather be really small or really tall? I am 5’ 4” so I would like to experience being really tall. Live in London or the English countryside? Countryside FOR SURE. I am not a big city person. What would the title of your autobiography be? Don’t stand so close to me. A story of a non-hugger. What children’s character can you relate with most and why? Chilli Heeler (Bluey’s mom) or Cinderella without the step sisters and more chores.

Helping YOU to elevate your company's total rewards strategy to new heights by creating benefit offerings and fostering a workplace culture that fuels employee recruitment and retention
Elvis jumped in (reluctantly 😜) for this week’s #WorkoutWithYourNetwork / #LifeLessonsLearnedFromSquats post! As you can see, he is straight reppin through the weight that I’m really grinding through. We have two lessons here really. Lesson 1: Elvis didn’t just walk out of the womb squatting plates for reps, he had to start somewhere (with just body weight or a barbell) and worked on his form and progressed over time to get where he’s at now. So you might start out level funded and work your way to being in an unbundled self-insured product. Step by step and brick by brick. Lesson 2: I won’t be able to squat as much as Elvis. This is just a reality 🤷🏽♀️ so keep in mind the neighboring company in your building or across from you in the industrial park might be light years ahead of you in their benefits funding strategies. And maybe you won’t ever get quite to their level, but there are STILL ways that we can help you save money on your total rewards offerings. Let JA Counter, an Alera Group Company help you get to where you need to be! 715-246-8085 #workout #healthiswealth #advancedhealthplanstrategies #employeebenefits #totalrewards #heretohelpyou Alera Group, Inc.

Like many, I have a hybrid schedule (typically three days on campus and two days at home, although this can become four or five days on campus during busy periods). It works very well for me. At home, I get to focus on more involved tasks, fit in errands, and waste no time commuting. On campus, I get to meet students, connect with the team, and enjoy those serendipitous encounters that can solve problems and generate new ideas. One downside of the on-campus days, however, is that I don't get to have my dog sitting next to me all day. Yesterday I tried to FaceTime with her, but she wasn't able to recognize me (or anything) on my wife's phone. Instead, when she heard my voice, she looked at the front door, assuming that I had arrived home. It was heartbreaking in its own little way. Needless to say, the reunion later in the day was a very joyous one. I share this reflection to acknowledge how beneficial pets are to our well-being. The word "pet" trivializes the role they play. They should really be considered fully-fledged family members or friends. USC doesn't have a "bring your pet to work" day. But maybe it should... #USC #USCMarshall #HybridWorking #Hybrid #RemoteWork #Dogs #DogsOfLinkedIn #Wellbeing
