🚀 From Idea at #AMP to Piloting at #Aveti_Learning: In June of this year, at the AMP program at Harappa School of Leadership, I vividly recall presenting our lean canvas business model for the "SchoolKidCode" project to our business entrepreneurship mentor, Mr. Saurabh Mittal. I persuaded my project team at AMP to consider this project as our final one, and here's why. At Aveti Learning, our organization provides supplementary digital education to over 1400 schools in Odia languages across Odisha. The educational environment is rapidly changing, with CBSE now supporting the integration of coding and AI into the curriculum starting from Class VI. Experts in the Edtech sector emphasized that coding & and AI equip students for a future marked by rapid technological advancements, enhancing their computational thinking skills, which involve problem-solving, logical reasoning, and algorithmic understanding. The question arose – why not extend these opportunities to Vernacular mediums? The idea was pitched, and a critical question from our mentor fueled our determination: "Are you going to make it a reality?" Silence turned into action as the idea resonated with us. Since it was my idea, after the AMP program, I pondered on how to implement it at Aveti. This marked the moment when the Aveti team began discussing the possibility of introducing a coding program in high schools. Despite lacking a specific curriculum, our robust execution capacity paved the way. Partnering with code.org, we implemented the #hourofcode initiative in December at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The program witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 500 students, marking a resounding success. As we celebrate this success, we eagerly seek more opportunities to make a lasting impact on education.
