Here’s why saying "I don’t have time to master AI" is like stepping into a boxing ring without training—it’s just not an option. Personal Weekend Reflections: AI in Action – Building the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs (My kids)🌶️ 😁 Last spring, I gave my two eldest (8 and 6) a challenge: start a business. Ironically, we landed on growing chilis, something I've been doing for years. The deal was simple: they pay for the seedlings, plant them, take care of them (water, pruning, the whole works), and when harvest season comes, they sell and reap all the rewards. And guess what? They delivered! That's not where the lesson ends though. While the kiddos were off to a family party, I stayed behind to catch up on work. Midway through the grind, I took a break and thought, “Let’s kick their business up a notch”. Using AI as my co-pilot, in a just over an hour ... I did this: 💥 Designed their logo (custom GPT logo creator) 💥 Built their website (Dora.run) 💥 Explored merch options on Printify 💥 Came up with concepts for their very own Custom GPT ... and many more! Let’s pause for a second: all of that in less the time it takes most people to binge-watch on YouTube or Netflix. Not weeks. Not days. Just a single hour. And it wasn't because I’m some wizard with endless free time—it’s because AI lets me amplify my time. Just imagine what you could do with this kind of superpower. Better yet, imagine what an entire team could achieve when they know how to wield AI. The possibilities aren’t just endless. The real war isn’t between you and your workload, it’s between those who embrace AI and those who don’t. And those folks using AI? They’re playing at a whole different level. It's easy to get excited about the positive impact AI will have on our society. I, for one, am grateful for all those who diligently investigate the ways AI might inadvertently cause harm. There is no forcing this genie back into the bottle, so only through a deep understanding of these technologies can we effectively prioritize safety. Today we're sharing some visibility into a recent AI Safety Red Team performed in collaboration with the AI Safety team at Snap. It is my hope that it can help build awareness for the importance of this type of testing and encourage others to prioritize the reduction of societal harms when deploying these models. https://lnkd.in/gcGxEuGR I want to extend my thanks to the creative researchers who are helping make these models safer (it is truly psychologically demanding work) and to the Snap Inc. AI Safety team for so thoughtfully and transparently helping us all collectively build safer AI.

I had a blast sharing my thoughts and experiences in this new era of Generative AI while still trying to find the right use cases. As we all know, working with AI follows the principle of “garbage in, garbage out.” My take is that we need to elevate our approach by asking better questions and providing better prompts to get more valuable assistance from AI. Moreover, the current utilization rate of AI is still small, but I believe it can offer much more. The technology is rapidly advancing, which will generate even more value. So try more things, because we won't know we need it until we try. A PM job is sometimes a lonely job, at least you have the GenAI to be you friend to exchange thoughts (and also feeling 😌). As a team, we need to stay aware and maximize AI usage based on our needs. Ultimately, as product managers, we own the product. Therefore, regardless of the tools or technology you use in your work, the final decision on the product rests with us.
