It was the last day of the 4Days Marches where Kevin and the team had a peaceful walk through wetlands, before arriving into festivities in Cuijk, and later crossing over a specially constructed bridge on the River Meuse. The final stretch of the walk was the Via Gladiola in Nijmegen – a street that is several kilometres long, where walkers were welcomed and congratulated with gladioli flowers. Well done to Kevin and to the team that took part for completing the challenge. You proved that you all have The Power to Move Ahead every day. Thank you for helping to raise funds for a worthy cause – cancer charity Marikenhuis. https://loom.ly/rsYBxLE #4Daagse #TheWalkofTheWorld #Hyster #Nijmegen #ThePowerToMoveAhead #Marikenhuis

Account Director, Tabor Communications Inc. Helping data management, scientists, analysts, security, IT, AI and machine learning professionals connect to the Big Data and AI universe.
Teamwork makes the dream work as they say in business! Having a supportive team around you is very important whether in your day to day biz goals or for your personal goals. I work with a terrific group of people at Tabor Communications on my professional side, while having awesome teammates with We Are NYC Running Club on my athletics side. Surround yourself with positive, supportive, uplifting people who help each other achieve goals. This has been so true with my efforts raising funds for the Boston Marathon charity I'm running for to earn my place at the race. It's also a cause very close to me as cancer runs in my family. My heart is filled with gratitude over the generosity that so many have shown on this journey with me. With 121 days to go we have raised $7200 towards the $10,000 goal of supporting the wonderful early cancer detection organization I'm raising funds for - DetecTogether - and also helping me get to the start line of the 2024 Boston Marathon. The last stop on my 6 Marathon Majors Star path. For those here who have donated and offered support I thank you! I still have more work to be done, and hope you can help. Fundraiser link - https://lnkd.in/e-qmWMtU Remember, all donations go directly to this non-profit group, and are tax deductible. Please let your company know you donated as some offer matching donations which can really help. Also, please share my donation link with others. Every little bit helps, and any amounts are appreciated! (A few pics of this past weekend's 5K fun run a club mate and I put together for our Boston Marathon charities. I could never wear Viking horns and a tutu to work!) #teamwork #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #charityfundraising #charity #cancer #cancerprevention #cancerresearch #cancersurvivor #cancersupport #cancersucks #fightcancer #business #support #earlycancerdetection #bostonmarathon #donate #cancerawareness

We help charities raise more money with our fundraising platform | Over $700 million raised for non-profits in 14 countries | CEO @ Charity Extra
Every charity in the world wants to do more good. But there’s always one thing stopping them: Budget. It’s an unfortunate fact. There are very few charities in the world that operate without any budget at all. So the number one factor that stops charities from helping more people and providing more services is simply a lack of resources. But many Charities struggle to fundraise enough money to cover their existing annual budget, never mind raising extra to fund new initiatives. And that’s where Charity Extra can really help. Not only do we make it ‘easier’ for you to fundraise your annual budget. We can help you fundraise well beyond your original goal. This isn’t a promise or a guarantee. But 25% of the fundraising campaigns we manage through our platform exceed their goal. Now we’re not talking about exceeding the goal by a few hundred pounds or dollars. I mean that they exceed their target by a good 10-20%+ and in some cases we’ve even more than DOUBLED the original goal. We’ve had the privilege to help 100s of charities secure the funds to support new initiatives like: ➢ a school opening up a brand new wing ➢ a special needs charity launching new after school programs ➢ a cancer charity that was able to accelerate discovery projects ➢ the list goes on….. and we have countless more examples… But simply put: We help charities raise more so they can do more. It’s in our name - Charity ‘EXTRA’ _______________________________ If you want to learn how we can help your charity unlock new funds and donors so you can help more people and finance new programs, just send me a message. I’ll share exactly how we’ve done it for 100s of other charities and how we can do the same for you.

Fundraising Engagement Manager at Young Lives Vs Cancer. This is my personal account and views expressed are my own.
Why do I do this job? In it's simplest form: to make a difference to the 4000 children and young people in the UK's lives as they are diagnosed with cancer each year. Our research tells us that the families are having to find £700 extra a month in associated costs and also a loss of £6000 annual income. Are you in Hertfordshire and Essex? I'd love to have a cuppa and a chat about how your business can help us to help our families: and also have a lot of fun, fundraising, and making a difference. Are you about to change your Charity of the Year - is it a staff vote? Please do consider putting Young Lives vs Cancer forward. #fundraise #charityoftheyear #makeadifference

People often say that they would like to help but are unable to volunteer. So how else can you help CSG? If you have a business, why not have one of our posters or our leaflets on display. Or, like Helen and Charles here, you could have some of our stickers to put on your car, or somewhere else where people will see them regularly. If you have a mailing list, could you include our news, events and fundraisers when you send information out to your clients? Could you donate a prize for one of our upcoming events? There are many ways that don’t involve a lot of time or money, but that would really be helpful to us to reach more people. #palma #palmademallorca #mallorca #majorca #cancersupportcommunity #cancersupportgroup #cancersupporter #cancersupport #cancersupportmallorca #cancer survivor

Experienced Programme Manager | Project Direction | Associate/Guest Lecturer in Project Management | Energy transition
Critical Project Lesson No.28 – Understanding the "Why" To keep any project moving forward it is imperative that all stakeholders are aligned behind the project. This is best done in understanding the, "why." This does not just mean the business benefits, although these are of course important. To really invoke the power of the, "why" the project manager needs to convey the greater good, the vision of why this project is important. Will it help poor people out of poverty, benefit the environment, assist the sick; whatever the greater vision is this is the why that must be shown by the PM. This will give all project personnel a greater sense of purpose and importance in their work. I was asked why I am doing these three events. So many different reasons.... If you would like to help raise fund for MacMillan Cancer support please use the link below to reach my JustGiving page. https://lnkd.in/eM969SBS Thank you for any support you can give for this great charity. #project #strategy #money #charity #change #cancer #macmillancancersupport #macmillancancernurse #cancersupport

Entrepreneurial biopharma executive with over 25 years of experience in R&D, clinical development, extensive operations, business development, and international expertise, driving growth and innovation.
I am truly inspired by the incredible kindness and dedication Glaukos Corporation extends to communities around the world. Your compassionate initiatives, such as introducing innovative therapies to underserved regions and engaging in fundraising efforts for children's charities, are remarkable. One video that touched my heart is below showcasing Glaukos's commitment to "compassionate use" and "giving back" is a beacon of hope and a model for other biopharmaceutical companies. Your efforts not only advance ophthalmic clinical care globally but also embody the true mission of helping others in need. This resonates deeply with everyone in clinical care and R&D. Thank you to every colleague at Glaukos for your dedication and making a meaningful impact on so many lives. Now, I hope all other biopharmaceutical companies can be touched just as much as I did! "Compassionate use" programs in biopharmaceutical companies are incredibly important for providing access to potentially life-saving treatments to those in need. They embody the true spirit of giving back and supporting global health. However, it's also important to recognize that not all biopharmaceutical companies can implement these programs due to regulatory, financial, and logistical challenges. Balancing innovation, patient access, and sustainable business practices is a complex but crucial endeavor. #GlaukosMission, #GlaukosGlobalHealth, #CompassionateUse, #GlobalHealth, #PatientCare, #PharmaInnovation, #HealthcareForAll, #ClinicalResearch, #RDBenefits, #GivingBack, #HealthcareInnovation, #PharmaLeadership
I wanted to share this video Debbie Ristvedt created whilst heading on a journey to support patients in Sierra Leone, West Africa. Debbie is one of the first doctors participating in the Glaukos Corporation iDose Your Dose program. For every iDose® TR sold, Glaukos pledges to make available an equal number of iDose TR units for qualifying charitable donation requests around the globe. I think Debbie's words help bring to life the true mission of Glaukos Corporation and what its initiatives mean for managing glaucoma globally.
