Welcome to the latest edition of Green Knowledge – now in a brand-new format! But what isn’t new is our ongoing mission to accompany you on your sustainability journey as a go-to source of inspiration and information. At the beginning of the year, we also launched our new Green Knowledge website, where you can regularly access fascinating articles, features and interviews, as well as the latest news on sustainability in fashion. With its revised newspaper format, the print issue you are holding in your hands is designed to complement our online presence and will still be published twice a year to keep you in the loop about all things sustainable. But however you choose to access our content, we hope that we’ll be able to support you all year round and also that we can play our part in building a sustainable community that learns from and grows with one another. In the past few years, we have witnessed remarkable progress in the field of sustainability. More and more people around the world are willing to embrace an eco-conscious mindset as a way of life – or at least it seems that way on the surface. But despite the progress made, one key challenge remains: achieving the symbiosis between sustainability and profitability. It is a balancing act between ethical principles and financial constraints, but can the two really coexist in harmony or are they mutually exclusive? A growing number of insolvencies and declining revenues in the sustainability sector, as Alexander Hitzel, Project Manager at leading trade fair organiser Muveo, tells us in an interview, are evidence of the struggles the fashion business is currently grappling with. Nevertheless, we are convinced that greener solutions will prevail in the future. It’s time to stop seeing sustainability as an optional extra, and instead as a fundamental value that needs to be an integral part of every business model. It’s time to recognise that having a good conscience alone is not enough to solve the urgent environmental problems caused by climate change. It’s time to take the first step and bring everyone on board for a sustainable future. Even though the path ahead may be rocky, at the end of the day all the profits and revenues in the world cannot safeguard our planet for future generations. So let’s work together to make sure that sustainability moves out of its niche and into the mainstream, as well as becoming economically viable in the process. We hope you enjoy reading this latest issue. Your Green Knowledge team #sustainability #greenknowledge #printissue #outnow #newsoftheday Cover: Feline Sasse

More responsible, net-zero supply chains through improving collaborations, best practice sharing and tech & tools
Some of the most popular challenges in the Scope 3 Peer Group currently are around how to get/use supplier-specific emission factors; how we will get to actionable product carbon footprint data at scale; and how for it to be used as a competitive advantage. We are opening up the Group to all for a special "PCF Clinic" on 27 March at 2pm UK / 9am ET - and it will be non-stop Q&A for 90 mins with hundreds of participants - all able to provide both questions AND answers. Join us and submit your specific question now: https://lnkd.in/eBzfUip3 We'll be using AI to compile the ultimate list of questions from all participants and then again to produce an epic PCF FAQ that everyone can take away. A core group of experts will join us - who sparked this at our Strategy Day in London, where 90 mins wasn't enough Q&A at all. But we'll have the power of the crowd to be able to fill in any gaps and add alternative ideas. Thanks (and good luck...) in advance to: Joy Massholder of PACT (Partnership for Carbon Transparency) Alessandro Pistillo of BASF & TfS - TOGETHER FOR SUSTAINABILITY AISBL Suzanne Greene of Dow Kevin Ramm of Manufacture 2030 | M2030 (and me) (and you!) Invite your peers and friends (or tag them below). Everyone is welcome.
Welcome! You are invited to join a meeting: The Scope 3 Peer Group - The PCF Clinic. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the meeting.
