Coverage stock Rimfire Pacific Mining Limited (ASX: RIM) (initiated @ 2.3c in 2016) has provided an important update with respect to exploration activity at the Bald Hill Prospect, located within its Broken Hill Project in NSW. RIM is currently undertaking a 6-hole/1,000-metre diamond drill program at Bald Hill, designed to test the significance of a very strong magnetic anomaly, which is interpreted to be a potential extension to previously drilled high-grade cobalt (Co) and copper (Cu) mineralisation. The Bald Hill magnetic anomaly trends NNE, dips to the southeast, and has a near-surface extent of 450 x 400 metres, extending to a vertical depth of approximately 300 metres below surface. 3D modelling suggests that the anomaly plunges to the southeast, with RIM’s 2023 diamond holes just “clipping” the top of the anomaly. Encouragingly, the first two holes in the program have successfully intersected multiple broad zones (downhole widths) of sulphide mineralisation, 100 – 200m away from previous high-grade cobalt drill intercepts (assays awaited). via Kalkine Media Australia Viking Mines has reported encouraging assay results from the latest #drilling at its First Hit Lithium and Gold project, WA Goldfields. During the December 2023 quarter, the company completed the 1,220-hole auger programme at the project, over the Ida Fault, which is known to hosts significant #lithium deposits. The auger programme has defined 19 lithium anomalies across the project, out of which eight immediate priority targets have been identified. These high-priority targets require immediate follow-up field work and exploration. The identified priority targets have associated caesium, tantalum and thallium anomalies, which are indicative of lithium- #caesium- #tantalum pegmatites, known for hosting spodumene mineralisation. Northisle Copper and Gold Inc. Golden Metal Resources Plc (AIM:GMET) shares were on the front foot on Tuesday, up around 10% in early deals, after the explorer reported significant gold-silver-copper findings at its wholly owned Garfield project in Nevada. The company, in a statement, highlighted “bonanza grades” in its project update – measuring up to 1,225 grams per tonne (g/t) silver, including 18.35g/t gold and 1.89% copper. Specifically, it said it sees confirmation of significant porphyry and epithermal potential in the area. "The results announced today are highly significant as we have gone from high-grade copper-gold-silver results achieved over a large footprint to now multiple overlapping geological datasets which strongly confirm the presence of a significant porphyry style system driving mineralisation across the project,” chief executive Oliver Friesen said. Nexus Minerals Ltd (ASX:NXM) is encouraged by results from its recently completed diamond drilling program at the Bethanga Porphyry #Copper #Gold Project, 260 kilometres northeast of Melbourne in Victoria. The program, which wrapped up in April, consisted of three deep diamond drill holes across 1,516 metres and targeted magnetic and geochemical zones identified in a previous porphyry copper-gold fertility study. Geochemical and hyperspectral results from the drilling have been consistent with the presence of magmatic-hydrothermal fluids typical of such systems. Notable element concentrations included gold at 3.23 parts per million (ppm), copper (474 ppm), arsenic (9,840 ppm), bismuth (36.3 ppm) and zinc (1,900 ppm). Great Southern Copper PLC (LSE:GSCU) (GSC) said it has completed scout drilling at Abundante with drilling now underway at Teresita.  Both prospects are within the company’s #Especularita copper/silver project in the coastal metallogenic belt of northern Chile. At Abundante, six reverse circulation (RC) holes were drilled for a total of 484 metres with copper visually identified in four holes. Assays have been sent for testing. Teresita’s RC programme will target high-grade #gold and copper mineralisation associated with quartz-carbonate vein-breccias. Sam Garrett, GSC chief executive, said: "Preliminary target-concept drilling is now completed for the Abundante mine prospect where the company is targeting high-grade copper associated with #tourmaline breccia. Sun Silver (ASX: SS1) has reported exceptional results from its inaugural drilling program at the Maverick Springs Silver-Gold Project in Nevada. The drilling has confirmed high-grade silver mineralisation beyond the existing resource, with standout results including: ⚒ MR24-186: 41.15m @ 126.75g/t AgEq, including 13.42m @ 331.76g/t AgEq ⚒ MR24-188: 54.86m @ 83.89g/t AgEq, including 10.67m @ 185.50g/t AgEq The discovery also highlighted the presence of critical antimony mineralisation, with concentrations reaching up to 1,845ppm.
