The survey covered an area of 5km2, comprising 454 stations, across a large (up to 5.6 x 1.2km) Ni-Cu-PGE mineralised (Gonneville-Yarabrook type) mafic-ultramafic intrusive complex along the stratigraphic extension of rocks hosting Chalice Mining’s Gonneville Deposit. Fathom Nickel Inc (@fathomnickelinc) has reported promising exploration results from its Gochager Lake property. The recent field program included a soil geochemical survey aimed at identifying signals over the historic deposit and locating similar deposits elsewhere on the property. Mapping and sampling revealed subsurface signals extending up to 400 metres east-northeast of the historic deposit, indicating increased complexity and potential for larger deposits. The company highlighted the presence of significant magmatic nickel, copper, and cobalt deposits hosted in a gabbro intrusion. Furthermore, the exploration program identified similar signals at the Mal Lake site, located ten kilometres southeast of Gochager Lake, suggesting a common source for the mineralization and significantly increasing the area's scope and potential. via Kalkine Media Australia Viking Mines has reported encouraging assay results from the latest #drilling at its First Hit Lithium and Gold project, WA Goldfields. During the December 2023 quarter, the company completed the 1,220-hole auger programme at the project, over the Ida Fault, which is known to hosts significant #lithium deposits. The auger programme has defined 19 lithium anomalies across the project, out of which eight immediate priority targets have been identified. These high-priority targets require immediate follow-up field work and exploration. The identified priority targets have associated caesium, tantalum and thallium anomalies, which are indicative of lithium- #caesium- #tantalum pegmatites, known for hosting spodumene mineralisation. Drilling at the southeast Arizona property has indicated the potential presence of commercially important metals associated with porphyry copper-gold-moly geologic structures, according to the Tuscon-based company. At a depth exceeding 2000 feet, the company encountered a marble front along with an intense zone of propylitic alteration, both suggesting the existence of a substantial, hydrous intrusive body at depth. According to consulting geologist Jim Bryce, this alteration represents some of the most profound seen in over three decades of experience in the field, the company noted in a statement. Anson Resources Ltd (ASX:ASN, OTCQB:ANSNF) has extracted supersaturated brine from Mississippian Units at the Green River Lithium Project in the Paradox Basin in south-eastern Utah, USA, confirming expectations that this will be the site of its second lithium project in Utah. Sampling was undertaken after completion of the Bosydaba #1 well at Green River, which is on recently purchased private property, and the Mississippian Units measured >255.55 metres (>740 feet) thick with pressure of 4,900 psi. The supersaturated brine, weighing 9.5 pounds per gallon (lb/g), continued to flow into the well up to a vertical depth of 600 feet from surface after a continued sampling period. Stelar Metals Ltd (ASX:SLB) is making progress with exploration at the Trident Lithium Project near Broken Hill in Far West NSW, revealing the presence of substantial new pegmatite formations to the south of the project. Findings from the company's geological mapping and surface sampling highlight the discovery of two major zoned pegmatites, named Pilgrim and Sabre. Pilgrim extends around 2 kilometres north-south with widths up to 500 metres and Sabre stretches 4 kilometres east-west with widths reaching up to 700 metres. An additional strike length of 3.2 kilometres, termed Trident North, has also been mapped, extending the known mineralised zone north of the previously drilled Trident area and linking with Mount Euriowie. This extension represents a significant increase in the potential lithium-bearing footprint of the area.
