📢 The GIFTS-AMR (Global Initiative for Traditional Solutions to Antimicrobial Resistance) project group has recently developed a global research agenda, that was shared during the Research Conference on Traditional, Complementary & Integrative Healthcare (#TCIH) Strategies for Infections and #AMR Reduction, which took place online on 9 & 10 November. 📊 The research agenda provides the strategic basis for the GIFTS-AMR network to collaborate on research proposals and funding applications and provides information on TCIH for all stakeholders at all levels to jointly address AMR and enhance efforts for the integration of TCIH. On the occasion of the World AMR Awareness Week (#WAAW), IVAA | International Federation of Anthroposophic Medical Associations stresses the need to take action in the areas of #policy, public #education, #research, and #development to include TCIH approaches in global and national strategies to fight AMR. 📝 #WAAW emphasizes collaborative efforts in preventing Antimicrobial Resistance. Do you know the main barriers to access to rare disease medicines in Brazil? Or the main reasons why treatment delays and interruptions are frequent in the country? Do you know what the implications of restricted access to rare disease medicines are in the region? To address these and other questions, AHF conducted three separate cross-sectional surveys with RD healthcare professionals, patients living with rare diseases and PAO leaders, and policymakers/regulators/payers. Proud to have supported the NCD Alliance in the development of their new brief on "Optimising the use of digital health technologies for health societies and economies". Four key challenges exist in scaling up the use of digital technologies that need to be overcome: 1. The digital divide - ensuring inclusivity for all 2. Digital health at scale - ensuring interoperability and integration with existing systems 3. Improving quality of interventions and strengthening the evaluation of their effectiveness 4.
