While working as an intern in marketing department, I now understand the objectives of marketing which was taught by my teacher Mr. Rakesh Kumar Pandey . The most significant objective of marketing are: 1. Creation of Demand: Goods and services are produced to satisfy the needs of the consumers. Demand also created by informing the customer the utility of various goods and services. 2. Customer Satisfaction: The marketing manager or head studies the demands of customer before offering them any goods or services as modern marketing is customer oriented, it starts and ends with the customers. 3. Generation of Profits: The marketing department is the only department which generates revenue for the business. Sufficient profits must be earned as a result of sale of want satisfying products. 4. Creation of Goodwill & Public Image: The department provides quality products to customers at reasonable prices and this creates its impact on the customer. 5. Increasing Market Share.

I really feel sad for our discipline (marketing) sometimes. Day after day it becomes more evident that many practitioners in the field lack basic understanding of the fundamentals. The more i look into it, i realize that its because we as marketing professionals don’t take our own industry seriously. It is one of the very few industries that doesn’t require an educational background to enter it. You can be a doctor, a lawyer, an engineer and you can easily get a job in Marketing because, why not? Its just a bunch of people who sit and throw ideas all day. This becomes frustrating to the ones actually investing time and money into honing their skills and acquire the “science” of it. Let that sink in for a bit.

Things I have learned while interning at U.B.M.C marketing department: 1. I learned that marketing has a lot of parts. 2. I learned that marketing also deals with finances. 3. I learned that marketing has some aspects of design . 4. I learned that a lot of people use the marketing department for events throughout the hospital. 5. I learned that marketing is essential to the hospital. 6. I learned that marketing is helpful to the community as well. 7. I learned that marketing helps people get their sponsorships. 8. I learned that marketing department is also sets up party’s. 9. Marketing literally builds all the signs. 10. I learned that marketing is a very professional field.

As a corporate marketing girly who is also a Virgo, I tend to think about my career journey a lot. More specifically, the advice that has influenced my journey along the way. As I reflect on my career, I can't help but appreciate all the different paths and opportunities that got me to where I am today. One of the key lessons that stands out is the ongoing exploration of my identity as a marketer— the perpetual debate between being a jack-of-all-trades or a master of one, a concept that was introduced to me by one of my former managers at PlayStation. In the early days of my career, I found myself at the crossroads, faced with the decision to specialize or embrace the vast expanse of marketing disciplines. Brand marketing, partnership marketing, performance marketing— I took on every project and challenge with an eagerness to learn. As time went on, and I continued to collect valuable experiences from every path I embarked on, the pressure I felt to dedicate myself to one eventually subsided. By taking on a variety of roles and projects, I discovered that being a master of one wasn’t really for me, and I’d rather diversify my skillset and dedicate my career towards learning as much as possible. So, you could say that I’ve adopted the jack-of-all-trades mindset as a marketer, and that’s perfectly okay.  What I’ve learned by growing into this path is that’s it’s enabled me to pull insights from different corners of the marketing world and has not only kept things exciting but has made me more adaptable than ever. For those of you just starting out in your careers, here’s what I have to share with you, and you’ve probably heard it before but alas here we are— it's okay not to have it all figured out. Your journey may lead you to specialize, and that's fantastic. But if you find joy in exploring various facets of marketing, enjoy the journey of being a jack-of-all-trades. The beauty lies in the balance— the intersection of curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for learning. Embrace your unique path and remember the adventure is just as important as the destination. This week's marketing assignment at Ensign College , I am learning to prepare a Digital marketing strategy blue print that helps us think of questions to ask a client to learn several important factors that make up am effective marketing campaign. 1. Know your customer. 2. Know your competition 3. Know your offering 4. Know your stakeholders 5. Know your industry 6. Know your environment Under each of these categories we will be adding 10 questions each for this assignment but we can add much more. It will be a valuable tool to use for this career I am loving more and more as I learn to develop more talents and gain new knowledge to make me a suitable team member that can critically think and be disciplined within this craft.
